Marody Cunningham

The first thing that catches anybody's eye when they look at Marody is her hair, if anything. Though it depends on if they know her or not, really the most amazing part about her is her smile and the fact that it never ends. Never does she have chapped lips or food stains on her face, and she makes sure of that yet even so her hair seemed to attract all kinds of unclean things like bugs or chewing gum so she cut it in a short bobcut style that highlights her crimson red natural hair color. Its not rare that her locks are assumed to be dyed that color.

Alone without any makeup she appears to be more aggresive than intended, mostly due to the dark bags under her midnight blue eyes and her hair color but everthing else about her basically radiates her friendly nature. She tries not to damage her smooth, peeches and cream skin with makeup foundations or chemicals to keep from going into a state of ance or rough skin care. Its the part about her she most proud of, it also distracts peoples' attention from her eyes. They are the same color as her sister's and she wishes they were a lighter blue or even green, which is her favorite color. Most of her wardrobe is centered around the color green, skirts and strapless shirts usually, she likes to keep it simple. She also likes to stick with solid colored flip flops when possible but her feet often get covered in dirt and she wears her old pair of sneakers instead.

For a period of time as a child she was a chubby girl, too big for her own head but she lost her appetite when her parents had a rough job getting money for food for the family. She lost a whole lot of weight and ended with a curvy structure and a small stomach. Her mother made her promise she would continue to stay active and work out so she would'nt become nothing but weak skin and bones. So she ran miles around the district and toned the muscles in her legs, and also helped out with her fathers heavy work to tone up her upper muscles and keep herself healthy. Marody got her height from her father and mother who are both 5 feet tall, she is also that height at age 13 though she is not done growing yet.

Marody is in general an extremely thoughtful person and often that is her flaw. To forget someone or something that happened to her is impossible but she's usually able to think logically and forgive easily. Her thoughts seem to be hidden from others since she believes nobody needs to know what she's thinking until she comes to an important conclusion that could benefit them. Most of what she says are jokes to cheer others up or herself or comforting a friend. She doesnt talk much to strangers but around family or people she's known for a long time they can't shut her up.

Her friends are made up of a group of outcasts to say the least who had been bullied or labeled unpopular by other kids. She was also one of the kids designated as unpopular so she enjoyed the company of people she was comfortable around. They didnt judge her and she didnt judge them, not that she judged any of the popular kids either, they just had a bit more luck than she did. She's welcoming to the lucky kids if they ever want to be friends or just talk but she doesnt mind if they ignore her, she'd like to think they were missing out like her mother always tells her. She knows how hard it might be for someone new to approach her with her sometimes aggressive appearance and shyness around strangers but shes a great listener and never turns away when a person needs someone to talk to.

Marody isnt scared to talk to people though and she isnt scared to do new things. She's actually very open minded and ready to try anything, there isnt much she's scared of. Her opinion on the hunger games changes too many times to say, when her sister died she was terrified of it but later she decided she wanted to face up to it once and for all and finish victorious. Born a second child into a poor family she grew up very thankful for what she had, never wanting things she knew she could never have or whining when she didnt get what she might have been able to get. All she wanted was to have a home and a life she could live with and thats exactly what she had so she was determined to go through with a happy face and determination.

Marody was born into a poor yet hardworking family as the perfect baby, the one that didnt make a sound but grew up to eat everything edible in her reach. Her excessive eating was clearly causing her parents financial and emotional problems which caused her to lose any appetite for food. You could say that when she lost all that weight was when she started thinking about every detail but she was aware from the beginning about how much her mistakes caused her parents grief and how much her achievements went overlooked. Even how people stared at her red hair and when somebody was being ignored by everybody at school, she thought about it all as if every moment mattered. Not all her thoughts could be led to something logical though, she didnt know everything about anything and wasnt good at reading people. She woondered often what people were thinking and used her imagination to try and guess.

She always smiled. Everyday she was either happy enough to have a bright, 100 watt smile or pretended she was happy and smiled anyway. There wasnt any reason not to smile, to frown would mean to give everybody else a reason to frown and that was something she would not do. If your thinking she's never cried then your wrong, crying is something she did occasionally but it was for the sake of someone else. When her sister was reaped and went to the Hunger games she cried every night and prayed her sister would make it. When she didnt survive Marody stopped crying as often but didnt stop completely. Her sister Helen was forever remembered and never left her mind. She was her only older sister and her parents, Heidi and John Cunningham's first child. Her pictures still cover the walls in their home to remind them of how happy she was when she was alive.

Her past was never full of anything exciting, she never hung out with friends or had playdates because she was always off in her own little world, thinking, dreaming, and imagining. For years her only friend was her older sister who cared for her and played with her for as long as she wanted to. Then she made her first friend at school at age 7, named Sarah. They werent very close friends, only seeing eachother at school and once every occasional weekend but they had someone to spend time with and that was all that mattered. Their twosome became a threesome in 5th grade with the addition of a girl named Megan and some of her friends that were usually with her as well. She wasnt very close to them either but she had a sibling who died in the games as well and they talked about it non stop. Sarah went on to be one of the more popular kids at school with a little luck and didnt talk to her anymore
