Appearance:
Standing 5’10, weighing 180 lbs, Spinner is an athletic young man of 19 years old. He i muscled, his body very well sculpted. The type of sculpted that would require lots of training and make the ladies drool at its plain sight.Personality:
His hair is some sort of golden brown with blonde highlights. (all natural, of course) Unlike most blondes, his eyes are brown. His skin his more of a tanned colour, mostly natural but also due to his often exposure to the sun while working outside.
His hands are rough and used, mostly because of his manual work. Working close to the mines, hauling stones and becoming a sculpture makes the softness and smooth feel disappear.
Spinner is a hands on, manual worker kind of guy (hence what he does as a job) .He does his job for one purpose only: his family. Before Jade (his sister’s daughter) he just did whatever he wanted. He lived recklessly and by his own rules but with his parents having lots on their hands already, he felt like he should become more responsible. He’d be his niece’s father figure because her father, the jackass had walked out on them. Life as a teenage parent was too hard, he said. There was still a life he wanted to live. So Spinel matured quickly (when it came to his family) and assumed responsibility.History:
Though, all of this doesn’t stop him from having his fair share of fun. Mind you, he doesn’t stay out late half as much as he used to or doesn’t do as many stupid things but he enjoys letting go from time to time. It’s a nice release from his duties back home.
He also has a smart mouth when he feels like it. He’s not afraid of telling it like it is. He’s not a mean guy, nothing scary nor is he a jackass. Not unless he needs to be and he’s not afraid to show that side of him. Mess with the people he loves and you’re screwed.
The Cove family has been lucky when it comes to the Hunger Games. Most families suffer the loss of a child but not them, not so far and they hope to keep it that way. With 4 children (only one no longer eligible), one grandchild (still not eligible to be reaped) Mr and Mrs Cove still have to fear for their family’s safety and survival.Codeword: Odair
Spinner may be lucky in a sense that because he is 19, he is safe from the games but that also means that he could never volunteer for his 14 year old brothers (twins: Jasper and Cam) like he could have a year ago. He had always told himself he’d take their place, he wouldn’t let them suffer those atrocities but now? He felt helpless, like he had always been for his sister, Ruby (17 years old). He couldn’t have done anything for her and it killed him each time he thought about it.
Ruby is a young mother of a little girl, Jade. (1 year old) She was only 16 years old when she got pregnant by her at the time boyfriend. For a few months, she had hidden her secret until there was no more hiding it. Everybody in the house freaked out and the boyfriend was lucky Mrs. Cove was there to stop Spinel and Mr. Cove from killing the bastard. Ultimately, the baby really brought their family together again after a few years of distance. They worked all together to raise her and it made them happy. No matter what was happening around them.
The Cove family is tight knit and Spinner knows he is lucky to have them all alive and around him. They are lucky to be in District 1, to be in an Upper District with more wealth than most of the other Districts. Especially with 7 mouthes to feed, 7 people to clothes. Life without the Luxury District would be very difficult, he realizes that very much.
Spinner didn’t want a miner’s life like his father had. He knew what it was like to worry if someone you loved didn’t come back from work. It was dangerous and he didn’t want any of that. He wanted to assure his family of his presence to sustain them, to feed them if ever something were to happen to Mr. Cove. Instead, he hauled the stones from the mines and to the makers. Recently, he has become an apprentice and is learning how to sculpt statues for the Capitol. Once he is done, it will make better money than his hauling and he frankly likes it better.
