I stumble out the front door with a massive headache. Getting womped in the head by a giant object doesn't feel very good. "From now on, I'm not messing with Mister." I think to myself, and begin the walk to the square. I pass, again, the shops I had once thought to taste before Mastik reminded me I couldn't taste. The worst part of this tunic is that everyone knows who I am, I can't just pretend to be shy or something.
As I walk down, pausing every now and then to gaze at the good-looking food, a few boys come charging at me. They must be years older than me, for they are so tall. Of course, I am very short for a 7-year-old. I move aside, thinking they are just racing or something, when one of them turns and pushes his hand a centimeter away from my face.
"Made yuh flinch!" He says, and they all laugh. I roll my eyes and turn to keep walking and they just follow me. "Hey, whats wrong? Cat got your tongue?" Another asks, and they laugh again. I quicken my pace, but they are just too stubborn to realize I don't want to be messed with. I glare at one and they keep laughing at me. I hate these capitol boys. I try to lose them multiple times, but they are so fast and sneaky. One moment I'll have gotten away, and the next they are popping up behind me pointing and laughing again.
I see a group of people and try to lose myself in them. I bump against a few people and get a couple "Watch it"s, but nothing too bad. I carefully shove my way through, and the boys just run stright past the crowd at me. I decide to take some drastic step.
I look around me frantically, and see a woman standing on a corner. I decide to hide behind her. I dash to her and a look of utter surprise flashes across he face when I hide myself behind her. I close my eyes and cross my fingers they don't notice she now has four feet.
"Hello Ma'am, there is a girl hiding behind you if you haven't noticed, could you please move aside?" They ask her. I grip onto the back of her shirt and shut my eyes tighter.
