Appearance:
Alicia is a tiny girl for her seventeen years of age, standing at just under 5'4". Pale skin clings to her equally as small frame, with the girl weighing around 50 kilo (or about 110 pounds}.Personality:
As a stark contrast to her pale cream skin, Alicia sports full and thick dark brown hair. Usually curled her hair reaches about half way to her elbows, though when left straight it rests down near her waist. Lashes that are equally as dark as her hair border around cold, calculating, icy blue eyes that look as though they are suspicious of anyone and anything that moves seem to be the only sign that "something is home upstairs" - for other than pale pink lips which are usually set together, the girl seems to carry a rather blank look upon her face. The one feature that usually raises people's brows, though, about the girl is that despite her doll like features, her nose seems slightly set to the left. No one asks why, which isn't really unexpected.
Alicia is usually seen in a white dress if she's merely lounging around the family home, or out and about. Though if all else fails she'll be in jeans, and a white shirt - white billowing sleeves and lace seem to be the girl's trademark when it comes to her clothing.
Alicia seems to be a rather absent-minded young lady, with many of the citizens that know her believing she "isn't completely there" - which is just the way she wants them to view her. Truth is Alicia is "completely there" and in this way she is a very manipulative little thing. She's been perceived as dumb for at least the past five years, which suits her just fine. She wouldn't admit it, but by allowing people to believe she's dumb she's already been 'playing her role' in the hunger games, she knows about the fake personalities and how they manipulate the Capitol to feel sorry for them - the districts to sponsor them. Thus her mind was made up about acting, so if the time came she could act as a poor and dumb 'tribute' with no clue as to what was happening - proving how manipulative she can be at the best (and worst) of times.History:
Apart from that Alica is at ease with the very few people she trusts, which are mainly her younger sister and a few very close friends. In her 'comfort zones' she warms up to be a rather charming young lady, though this part of her is kept only for those 'special times', any other time she slips back into absent-mindedness, triggering questions of if she really is entirely 'there' or not. In her comfort zone Alicia is a whole new girl, often found singing softly to herself or her sister and taking care of her younger sister. If she weren't so odd and 'away with the fairies' most of the time she would probably make a decent healer, as she doesn't raise her voice and speaks with soft, soothing notes. Though even her voice, or those tones in particular, are kept for only a few 'special' people.
Alicia is usually viewed as either 'dumb' or 'stuck up' most people, but truth is Alicia is just dead set on self preservation, being almost scared to death that either her or her sister will be chosen for the games. Alicia has been forced, like many, to grow up very quick. Having no mother, and a father rarely around means it's her taking care of her and her sister. Occasionally the girl will have a break down, and find a quiet place where no one will find her to throw her arms over her head and hide from the world, though only her sister knows this. Alicia is a very reserved, suspicious young girl. She seems to push people away to avoid them getting ripped from her. The only exception to date is her sister.
Alicia was a 'mistake child', her mother's family were one of the poorest families in district one. Her mother took to 'selling herself' as a way to provide for her family, one day ending up pregnant after one of her 'jobs'. It wasn't quite explained to Alicia how the families found out, but since Alicia's father had already disgraced his family by taking her mother's ''business'' he ended up, rather unwillingly, marrying the woman who he didn't even know the name of.Codeword: oDair
Seven months later Alicia was born into an unstable, abusive home. Her mother had been on drugs and drinking and it was apparently a miracle the child survived, her father couldn't care less about either his wife or his daughter. At the age of two Alicia had a baby sister, Elizabeth, and when Alicia was eleven her mother died as a result from a particularly nasty blow to the head after a domestic with Alicia's father. By this age Alicia was old enough to know her father's name as Dominic, not that she particularly cared. She probably cared for her father about as much as the peace keepers and all the other officials cared about how her mother had died.
As Alicia turned twelve and, like all twelve year old's, became eligible as a tribute, she also began working. Small things like learning about her father's make up store, how to help customers select the cosmetics best suited to them, along with sewing clothes on the side line for the poorer families to buy for their children started to consume her time, and the only thing that seemed to consume her thoughts were those of taking care of her little sister - as her father was no help in that department with his drinking habits.
For almost five years Alicia has consumed herself with school work, cosmetics, and sewing, withdrawing more and more into herself with each year that passed - resulting in the people claiming of her not being 'completely there'. The only times she ever really 'came out of her shell' are during the reapings, though as soon as she processes that neither her nor her sister are to be tributes for that year, Alicia slowly withdraws back into her own, 'safe' world.
