Tessa is fairly tall and well built for a girl from such a deprived part of Panem, with flowing dark locks, dancing aquamarine eyes and a ready smile.Tessa has curves,which along with a mite more food than the average person in District 11, and her genetic make up, make her stand out from the crowd. Whether she likes it, or not.

The Ivory tone of Tessa's skin contrasts perfectly with her hair.Although it's not like she'd know, Tessa is too busy working in the wheat fields with her father to care a jot about her appearance. Although with her striking profile, it isn't as though she is completely invisible to the local boys.

Tessa's legs and calf's have developed noticeably definition over the years.Which, after all this time tirelessly working to fufil endless Wheat Quota's (in order to avoid the wrath of the fearless Peacekeepers who roam the streets of the District 11) is hardly surprising.

Tessa has no outstanding feature in her appearance that makes her noticeable. It is only when you place several factors together that an attractive yet unusually hot tempered girl emerges.

Personality:

Tessa is uncommonly efficient and a natural leader, and with a pack of four rowdy siblings close at her heels 10 hours a day, this trait is put to good use among the Birch Family ranks. It also enables Quota's to be fulfilled earlier yielding miniscule amounts of food that are essential for Tessa and her family to survive.

While comforted when surrounded by her largely un-confrontational family even the sight of the men and woman from District 11 being unlawfully persecuted makes Tessa's blood boil. If she could do anything to make the people suffer less, Tessa would loosen the hold of the Peacekeepers on her District, and then the noose drawn around 11's neck courtesy of the Capitol would slacken considerably

Tessa is fiercely protective of her family, they are her world.Her primary goal is to maintain their happiness and in turn her's.

If you were to talk to Tessa, you would immediately notice that years of sparring with the well to do villagers of the District have sharpened her wit. But although Tessa is academic (when she applies herself) logic is not usually her first port of call. Tessa will use her physical capabilities, from years of climbing trees and harvesting wheat, to her advantage this usually enables her to fight her way out of a situation by using her sling or simple brute force. Upon meeting new people, Tessa can be defensive and take the most innocent of comments as an insult. Also, when she is nervous or under unforeseen pressure, Tessa's comical timing tends to be slightly off kilter, making for awkward, yet also equally hilarious results.

History:

Tessa Birch is the eldest of five.Herself, Thad 14,Twins Rina and Jeorj (George) 12, and Heather 9. Tessa has been assisting her Mother Jessi, and Father Daniel, with their small bustling farm, and pear orchard since her 7th Birthday, although more money would have been brought in for food if she had become a hand at another's farm. But when needs must and there's work to be done you jump at the chance to save your own neck.

The five or so years before her help became needed were spent scampering around fields, keeping out of trouble, and being regularly shepherded inside the family hut when an unlawful citizen was forcefully locked in the stocks.In other words five uneventful years passed, until one day while Tessa was visiting a friend, a man with a bloody nose was dragged down the street in his greying rags and forced into a contraption she would later discover to be the stocks.

After this incident Tessa vowed that when her time came to help her family she would accept her responsibility to those around her and perform her allotted tasks to best of her ability in order to prevent any of them having to endure a fate similar to that of the man in the rags.

Tessa has never been romantically involved with any boy. Tessa would benefit from being cared about by someone other than a blood relative. So Romance is possible.
