Name: Thea Chloe-Zane Quincyblockquote]
Age: Eighteen
Gender: Female
District/Area District Four
Appearance:
Thea is pretty hot. She's not model thin, she isn't even that tall, but she's got Aphrodite curves and sultry golden eyes. Her face is long and angular, with wide eyes set right in the middle, usually regarding the world with a slightly bored look in them. The color is a nice gold that would look homely and soft on anybody but Thea, she's too strong, too dark to pull off the cookie-cutter wife look. Always more of a rebel without a cause, the kind of girl you’d expect to be riding motorcycles and flipping people the bird. She's got thin lips and well-shaped eyebrows, along with a small nose that is the envy of a few woman Thea knows. Her skin is smooth and dark, an exotic color that shows that she prefers the outdoors to the dreaded indoors with all that florescent lighting and lack of space to move around in. Her face is one of a true wolf, well predator but shes always thought of herself as the wolfish sort, don’t you agree? She has teeth that are sharper than most, gleam white, and are perfectly straight, no thanks to those human contraption braces. Watch out when kissing her, Thea is known to bite.
Her body is strong although Thea looks like an average woman, like maybe she lifts weights and doesn’t just sit in front of the TV all day, but she's certainly no body-builder capable of lifting her own weight. How wrong those pathetic people are, those average humans who do not know what being godly is, to be a Career. Thea is strong, capable of lifting her own body-weight, maybe even a little more (on her best of days, and even then its an exaggeration—she is truly powerful and physically strong but, really?) She's always been flexible and more or less an athlete, would have made a good gymnast with her lack of true height and obvious sure-footedness. Well maybe not, Thea bows for nobody, and doing cart-wheels and flips like some circus animal would not please her. Why waste her strength and looks on judges? Thea likes to make up the rules, not follow them. That’s why she is one of District Fours elite Careers. There is gymnasts grace in the way she walks even with four inch heels on. Gliding over a surface, her long, brown hair trailing behind her, constantly in movement. Fluid-like, her hair is a few shades darker than her tan skin, and is layered, longest in the back, but only ever falling to her lower-back. It’s a constant battle, Thea always hating having too much hair, and her hair just loving to grow—thick and luscious yes, but also a nuisance. Anyways, about her bod—at 5’’4 not lean and tall, but certainly not midget-esk. Her height is just right, Thea knows if she were any taller she would stick out too much, a shapely, tall woman—people would constantly look at her and then how could she get away with half the stuff she does (and trust you me her looks have already subjected her to many glances.) Thea knows she's too smoking to be tall in addition to all those curves and muscles (conceited much?) Beneath the tight leather jackets and wife-beater tops are some dangerous curves, very womanly. They’ve always been there since the dawn of her teenage hood, and Thea is very proud to be such a voluptuous vixen. S
Her exotic looks make it clear she ain’t no white girl, Thea was abandoned as a child so really she doesn’t know what her blood ties are, but people suspect she is South American, possibly Hispanic or Mediterranean? Its an unanswered question that will likely stay that way. Unanswered, I mean. She's self-confident, and who wouldn’t be if they had a hard, strong face filled with cruel beauty, and a body to be envious of. There's something off in her golden eyes though, the dark swirls that constantly rest just beneath the surface clue in her prey, Thea is a slow learner and she's just beginning to teach herself how to mask her own nature in order to better get away with all the things she enjoys (example: killing, playing pranks, being a hooligan really) All said, if you ignore her dreadful personality and just imagine her bad, ugly insides not having to do with her outsides then really, Thea’s a stunner. Add her personality and things get pretty ugly.
Personality:
Instincts baby. They rule her, the little voice in the back of her head telling her what's best for her. Thea prefers to call the voice, her own whim and will often do things because of her whim instead of acknowledging that her craziness is just coming out to play, impacting her life every single minute of every day. She has a sometimes grumpy demeanor, and a tendency to let her temper flai, to feel passionate, powerful emotions.
Thea is a love/hate/heartbreak kind of girl, there's black and there's white—no mushy grey, no like, no dislike, no hurt (puny, wannabe-tough emotions in her opinion). Either she feels things to a great extent, or she doesn’t even care about it. Many ex-boyfriends have felt her wrath after dumping her passionate butt (once they catch wind of how extremely hard-core she is, they usually disappear. Longest relationship ever was a month) Its just one of those cursed things about Thea, she's got a real work ethic and tries her hardest at everything. Nothing will ever be done half-way by her, its either you epically fail, or epically win. Her whim chooses. As a Career she prefers to win, she has made her life one big attempt to win at everything, but sometimes she fails and ouch! It hurts…
For being so serious and to put it frankly, intimidating, Thea really is a playful gal. She toys with peoples emotions, their lives, and does everything in her power to generally make them worse. An easy life is a boring life, and Thea wouldn’t want anybody, not even her most annoying ‘friends,’ to have a boring life! That’s the kind of thing that inspires suicide, and Thea grows far too attached to people to let them die soon of such a terrible cause. She died of boredom. He died from lack of excitement? Where's the fun in that??? Some would say her bark is bigger than her bite, and she's not as evil as she makes herself out to be, but then again the last person who said that lost a limb when her temper flared and they were just a few miles too close to her (tip to the wise: running from an angry-Thea just brings out the excitement and bitter feelings in her, creating a much more dangerous foe) Okay so that was a metaphor, Thea Quincy doesn’t usually pull peoples limbs off, she just sort of broke one of the guys hands. Careers are violent people, you’ve got to learn to quickly if you want to get along swimmingly with Thea Quincy.
She's a predator at heart, but Thea is also very involved in the world, always being fascinated by average people who dod not enjoy the thrill of hunting down enemies and making them pay. She cant wrap her mind around being completely good, Thea often tries to mimic such behavior (usually she fails, to tell the truth.) Its very fun and passes the time quickly. At eighteen, Thea is so very young, yet she already is in the phase of being extremely annoyed with how utterly long and uneventful her life has been. Drama! Drama! Drama! That’s the stuff—if Thea was good at keeping things to herself, and controlling her impulses, she would make a good actress. Heck, even in the mental state that she presently is in, Thea would still do well before she went and killed the director of whatever production her inner-voice told her to join because he told her to do the scene again for the third time (Color her impatient, retakes seem like a real annoyance.) She's always had a flair for dramatic entrances and takes her leave only after somebody has been physically or emotionally wounded (usually by Thea herself.) Arriving on a motor-cycle and leaving with a new guy is tons of fun. Oodles of fun! Being in the lime-light is nice.
Evil was mentioned awhile ago. Yes, if you call pillaging a few towns, murdering some highly annoying geeks, and having no code of conduct evil then heck—sure, she is! Even though Thea has this bizarre way of always telling the truth, that doesn’t stop what she's thinking from being just as bad. Its certainly a funny thing when somebody asks her what the teen is up to and she casually, in a detached, bored voice says, ‘Oh nothing. Just plotting the downfall of an old flame… I think his new girlfriend would look better as small, bloody pieces--the (insert string of profanities) cheerleader-wannabe.” Maybe deep in her heart she does feel a twinge of pain when her soul rips into another piece as she enacts one of her mastermind, mwahahaha plans, but so far Thea hasn’t had to deal with her inner wimpy humane opinion on her crimes. That will be discussed in some sort of therapy one day when she's old and just plain mean with no rocking bod to back it up. After all, people have instincts too, and among them are lust, the need to feel better than other people, and blood-shed. Lots and lots of the last in that particular list. Anyways, she's a funny, quirky, young woman who honestly couldn’t be more at ease and confident in herself. Don’t even try to change her because Thea Rush, and nobody, not anybody, will ever manage to fall into her graces long enough to truly impact her soul or spirit or whatever you call it. (If she has one!)
History:
Lets just not discuss this part of Thea, okay? Its been a rough life. Ever since her spiteful, terrible parents just dumped her in a strangers boat like baby Moses in a basket. She was later found by an abusive, alcoholic woman who used her as an assistant. Thankfully this woman, dear ol mom, as Thea calls her right after letting loose a string of cuss words and flipping the terrible woman off in at least four different languages/signing ways. Well thankfully when she was found, Thea had a little card with her that said only a few words, Life hurts. Heres to regrets! We love you very much Thea Chloe-Zane, xoxo your parents.
Its never made much sense to Thea, who keeps the card in her back pocket at all times. Thea Quincy, given the last name Quincy after her adoptive mother, grew up being beaten and told to do well. When she was a little girl she wanted nothing more than to get strong, and finally after her so called mother announced that Thea had to become a Career or move out, she saw it as a good thing. Being a Career meant being tough, and finally her mother, who she grudgingly loved at that point in her young life, would be proud. Success!
Obviously things just went downhill from then on. Thea became a murderuous, heartless back-stabber, adding these traits on to being certifiably insane, having 'issues,' and being altogether a snarky, sarcastic witch in the first place. She grew physically strong, but hid her unbalanced emotions behind a protective layer of nasty words and gestures. Nobody gets close to Thea, nobody has since she turned thirteen years old and finally beat down the toughest Career at her small gym. That was a small triumph in the life of a Career. Thea never imagined being in the Hunger Games. She never wanted to win the Games--why take the risk when she was already the Victor of the Life Games. Strong, beautiful, powerful and unfeeling? Who wouldn't want to be Thea? As long as she is who she is, Miss Quincy is content to live an average sadists life in District Four, never going out for the Hunger Games or causing trouble in the grand scheme of things.
For being such a loud, larger than life person, Thea isn't so ambitious. She has'nt thought of trying to rule the world, or win the Games, or destroy the Capitol. She was born into a hard life and grew up as a Career, never giving much thought to being anything else. In her world pain is average, inflicting it isn't a mortal sin, its just something everybody, or at least the strongest of everybody does. As a child she grew up with only this screwed up reality in her head. Go figure.
Theres been little speed-bumps, hiccups, in her life. Bad instances, drinking, and general bad-arse-ness. Her mother hasn't ever sobered up, and Thea still is living at home as she finishes her schooling and looks forward to a life of smelling like stinky fish and sneaking around with only the finest boys of the District. The past is something Thea hates to think about because in her opinion her life has been boring, boring, boring so far. Lets look into the vibrant future, shall we? Nobody cares about roots and history anyways...
