Lacey Malice {District 6}

Lacey is a young girl who looks too young to be twelve, standing at only 4 feet and 8 inches. Most people would say that she looks around ten years of age, with her child like completion. Her skin practically glows with a pale skin tone, and her naturally dark brown hair on the inner layers, and the exposed layer of hair is a bright caramel color, reaching down to a few inches past her shoulders creating this basic look. She has delicate pink lips that accompany her coffee brown eyes that completes the impression of a naïve, innocent, young girl. Although her face and body look innocent, she has scrapes and bruises on her knees, elbows and shoulders from various stunts she has done. Of course, being from district 6, the scars only appear to be arbitrary spots of white due to treatments.

Lacey likes to wear either white or black T-shirts, with the sleeves very short, exposing both of her arms. She also likes to wear skinny jeans that may have few self-made rips in them for a fashion statement. Although she wants to imply the rebellious teenage girl look, her profile makes her clothes looks like she’s just a poor child who has no better cloths to afford. If she needs to move her way out of trouble, she can just flash a smile and bat her eyelashes to escape from trouble. She uses this a lot because it is very effective to any older peer.

Although Lacey’s appearance makes her seem like the ideal ‘innocent girl’, she is quite devious, using her looks as a tool to fool people. With everyone she meets, she starts off using her perceived personality to everyone because she knows that first impressions matter to whoever she meets. You get to see her true colors if you purposely try to harm her, or if you aggravate her in any way. If anyone is foolish enough to agitate her, she will find out where you live, and then trash your house by either; throwing large rocks at your windows, painting on your house/doors, or knock on your door and give you a bag full ‘surprises’ of either worms, rotten fish, or anything else disgusting. She never gets caught because she’s smart enough to know that she only has time to do one of these things or else she could get caught. She’s also smart enough to do it during the night, while wearing a hooded sweater to mask herself even further.

She’s good at making friends and maintaining their friendship, but they are very disposable to her. If she needs to, she will back-stab you if it benefits her more. The easiest way to impress Lacey, is to take any blame for her, she admires people who would do that for her because it is a huge sign of trust in her eyes. Another way is to be assertive to her, but still recognize her as a powerful person. She claims that you need the kind of spunk to be strong. She’s been through several sets of friends, but only another boy named Dicentra is a true friend too her.

Lacey’s one true friend is a boy named Dicentra or “Dice” for short. Lacey and Dicentra have been friends since they were very little, causing mischief at a young age. They met in the market part of town where she tried to pit-pocket him. Initially, they were against each other, but then they became best friends. They’re a team of trouble makers with their own strengths to support each other. While she is able to steal small items or food, remember important details about people (targets), formulating plans, and she can heal wounds, Dicentra is able to steal, defend against attackers and use his con artist skills to trick or distract targets.

She likes to play with dangerous things like fire, knifes and (small) wild animals that pass by her. She also likes to provoke anyone who uses acrimony against her because she also knows that even though the offenders will terribly resent her, there are two outcomes of provoking. The first option would be that the enemy walks away knowing that they would be in misfortune for “Harming the little girl”. The second would be that they actually hit her, but this would cause witnesses to come to her aid (unless they are cold and heartless). She’s the kind of reckless, dare-devil, punk who is masked by a harmless, cute and polite young lady.

Lacey takes the smart side of her brain from her mother, because she owns a small first aid shop around the part of town. The shop only heals minor cuts, bruises, burns, scrapes and injuries for a low price. She helps around the shop, healing other customers that her mom is to busy to deal with. Although her mom thinks that it is an act of kindness, the real reason for her helping with the shop is to gain experience with healing wounds that she might contract. If her mom figured about her wounds, she would be very suspicious, so she lays low when it comes to trouble.

Lacey was born into a very small family from her mother and father being an only child. She herself is an only child and due to a problem in her birth, her mother is unable to have any more children. All four of her grandparents were dead before she was able to be born into the world, so to her parents, she means the world to them. Since Lacey is the only child that the two that they have ever taken care of, they have no prior skill to raising a child. Her parents were never strict to her, only giving her love and comforting her whenever she was down. To her, her parents are like the first friends she has ever made, but she keeps her secrets to herself.

Since Lacey’s parents weren’t very careful with her doing anything wrong because of their inexperience, she developed a sense of independence and maturity at the age of 10. She’s capable of taking care of herself, but she lets her parents take care of her for their sake. Her parents don’t seem to notice this, but she helps them more then they help her; cleaning the house, helping the ‘shop’ and getting groceries for them. She’s also managed to convince her parents that she’s sleeping in her room quietly when it’s nine in the evening, but she’s actually out somewhere meeting with her friend Dicentra.

Whenever the two attempt a prank, it usually happens at night when practically no one is awake and when they can easily hide from pursuers. Lacey and Dicentra’s tricks usually involve vandalism such as painting on citizens’ houses, breaking windows or anything else causing their prey’s house to be damaged. Since Dice’s family owns a small art shop, he has easy access to dyes and paints for their malicious accomplishments. During the day, when they aren’t at school and aren’t helping their parents with their shop, they’re usually in the market stealing food or trinkets. Dicentra would usually steal distract the cart owner while Lacey steals the item wanted. After catching their loot, they split the haul evenly. If there’s an access, Lacey usually gets it out of his kindness.

Lacey’s life is full of crime, but her parents remain joyful and oblivious to her that life, they still see her as their little girl. Aside from her life of crime, she lives happily in a small house in the slums of District six with her best friend, Dicentra.

I'm positive that I did something wrong here even though I checked it over 3 times. Also, I will post an application for Dicentra later.
