Personality:
Jericho is tall for his age and quite tanned, and although he's not stick skinny nor chubby, he's not particuarly muscular either. He hates any sort of physical exercise but is often forced to jog or do the occassional press-up by his parents. Jericho doesn't want to be the man that his parents want them to be, but they're fixed on having the perfect son. And so he tries to, dare I say it, rebel on his appearance often. His parents love his hair being straight and shiny, lying over his forehead with a slight coat of gel. Half of the time (mostly on outings) they get what they want. But other times, Jericho makes sure his hair is exactly the oppisite of what his parents want it to be. He makes sure it's curly and ruffled, most likely coated in sweat or a heavy amount of gel, and falling over to his eyebrows. It's no surprise his parents usually have heart attacks and demand that he combs it.
Jericho isn't stupid. To avoid the Capitol freaking out about how he wants to rebel in his appearance, or ruining his parent's perfect reputation, Jericho will usually swallow down the neat hair and ridiculous clothes and shut up about it. His parents also request that his face is clean-shaven, another thing he despises. He prefers to have light stubble and sometimes his parents weaken and let him off with it. Jericho's face is rather young looking, with an angular nose and large clear blue eyes. Despite his obvious flaws (his nose is rather large and his ears stick out, not to mention the fact that his skin can look pasty which his parents hate) he's actually rather attractive, but he doesn't want to be. He finds it a curse. And people think he's joking.
Jericho can be rather complicated to make out. He's..not really a typical capitol man. From he was a young boy his parents have been concerned about what he would turn out to be. Jericho actually prefers the simpler things in life. Shock horror. He doesn't like luxury, and feels like being showered in money and such smothers him. He is exteremly antisocial and only does things on his own terms. Yes, he's amazingly stubborn. No-one will tell him what to do. He'll do what he wants. End of. Jericho is very laid-back, to a point where he's incredibly lazy. Sometimes his parents must push him to do things otherwise he won't do it. Naturally, Jericho has been trained to be very proud, but he tries to keep this locked up. He does have a sort of proud arrogance about him at times but is quick to shove that aside and apologise. Generally, he's a very selfless person, and humble. But he can't help how he was brought up.History:
Jericho can be rather vocal on his opinons, and despite being antisocial most of the time he is very outgoing and very charismatic. People have had to shush him at times because he questions authority. He likes to push boundaries and ask questions, and has a very curious nature that lands him in trouble a lot of the time. Jericho is also adventurous. He loves getting attention, and doesn't care if it's bad attention. He longs to be more rebellious at times but knows what that can lead to. Jericho is mouthy, and snappy, and doesn't care who you are. He will openly tell you what he thinks of you. He doesn't care about the consequences unless they're dangerous.
Despite being bold, Jericho does have a tendency to be caring and rather sweet. But he's not romantic. NO WAY. At least, not so far. Jericho has a short and very fiery temper and he is very fiesty. He tries not to let this show. Around other people, he's quiet and very reserved. He feels like he's trapped in the world of the capitol and longs to be free like his brother. But no matter how brave and bold he is, he's scared of what life would be like as a wanderer. So although he hates being a capitol member he swallows it all back and paints on a smile. And he prays it won't fade.
It was thirty-two and a half years ago that two seventeen-year-olds, Christina Turner and Dante Maverick, met at a cocktail party for the richer residents of their estate. From the moment they laid eyes on each other, there was an immediate connection. Not a romantic one...but there was something. Their parents saw this and plotted a matchmaking plot that eventually led to Christina and Dante dating. They didn't exactly love each other, but their parents promised it would come in time. A year and a half later Dante proposed and Christina accepted. After marrying the following month both got to the usual tradition of Dante's family. This was five years after marrying both would live seperately as both worked, then after five years the husband would buy a house and then children came along. Dante worked as a lawyer and Christina was a designer. After five years, both had gotten at least one promotion and managed to buy a rather large home for themselves. Jericho's elder brother, Dallas, was born the following year. Five years later Jericho was also born.Codeword: odair
His parents took to teaching their boys the proper way to live as capitol members. However, niether of the boys seemed to want to go the traditional way. The boys' parents privately tutored Dallas up until his tenth birthday. He was a particuarly wild boy with bundles of energy and so his parents lived in fear that he would say or do something that he would live to regret. Jericho was less bouncy, but still bold. He only had to be tutored up until his seventh birthday. Dallas struggled with things such as mathematics and biology, but he adored writing and anything physical. Jericho was the completely the oppisite.
Then, when Jericho was thirteen, his brother had enough of everything and ran away from home. His parents didn't see it as much of a loss but the duties of the future man of the house was now weighed heavily on Jericho's shoulders. He hasn't got a proper career, but like his mother, he looks to be more artistic in his line of work which doesn't please his father. Jericho has sold three paintings and wishes to be a freelance artist. But his father is pushing him towards law. And The Hunger Games? It's a way of life. But Jericho hates it. The thought of those poor families, those poor kids, it sickens him. He's always had a curiousity towards the districts. But don't tell the capitol that...
