Tavern has bleach blond hair that is layered, it goes a few inches past her shoulders. Her eyes are big and light blue, they seem endless and vulnerable. They make you feel like she sees through you. She has small pink lips and unflawed skin. She has a fair complexion from working in the factories and not getting out much. She is average sized, she's not skinny, but she's not overweight, and she's 5'3''. She was born without her left pinky toe so she only has nine toes instead of ten.
Her face is often serious because she has to be mature and responsible. But there are rare moments when you will hear her really laugh and her face will light up with a beautiful smile. A lot of people say that she looks just like her mother, but that she has her father's stubborn personality.
She has a bump on the back of her head that can still be felt from a time when she got hit in the back of the head with a beer bottle, she also has a scar there because she couldn't get stitches but that's also only noticeable if you feel for it. She also has a bump on her nose from when it was broken accidently in a bar fight.

Personality:

She has to be responsible and mature because her father is a drunk and her mother died. So she's left to take care of a pub that's falling apart and behind on bills. She also works a second job at a plastic factory to earn extra money. She acts tough around other people because she doesn't want them to pity her. Her mother committed suicide and her dad's an alcoholic so there's a lot to pity but she hates it when people do, she thinks that if people pity her she's a sorry excuse for a human being so she does whatever she can to make people forget about her parents and see that she's a hardworker and very responsible. She doesn't want to be seen as the girl who's mother killed herself, or the girl who's father's a drunk because her mother killed herself. She just wants to be Tavern, no strings attached.
Tavern likes to be alone just as much as she likes being in her parent's busy pub, which is a lot. She likes seeing family friends together and having a good time, and likes to be in a big crowd because everything is happening and the focus isn't on her. But she also likes to be alone, but more so in the sense that she doesn't like to get close to anyone then spend time alone.
She knows how to take charge and solve a crisis if one arises, she's logical and reasonable. She thinks she doesn't need anyone's help and would never ask for it if she did.
She also hates guns because her mother shot hereself and she doesn't like to be at home because her father is always passed out or drinking.

History:

Tavern's history starts when her parents met. Michelle was a bartender at a local pub called The Tavern, and her father, Rob, decided to go there one night after having a fight with his father about taking over the family business. The moment he met Michelle it was love, he became a regular there just so he could see her. They fell in love, Rob broke away from his family when his father couldn't accept that he wanted to own a pub and they eloped. Michelle's parents owned The Tavern and when they died she inherited the pub and her and Rob made it their own. Then Tavern was born and was named after the pub because it was where they had first met. They never had another child.
Tavern had a normal childhood, she went to school, had friends, and grew up hearing old stories at her parent's pub and learned everything there was to know about running one. The closest person she has to family aside from her parents is a family friend, Bob Jacobs, who always looked out for Tavern like a close uncle. But then when Tavern was fourteen her mother started arguing with her father all the time, telling him that she didn't want to run a pub for the rest of her life, that it was his fault she had to put up with this even though when they had first started out running the pub had been both their dream. They both wanted to give people a place to relax and forget about their problems and their jobs. She would refuse to go to the pub and would say that some day she would leave him. She never did and this is how Tavern started helping out at the pub, because her father needed her. One night, when she was fifteen, there was a bar fight between two drunks arguing about who wold win the Hunger Games. Tavern tried to end it but was accidently punched in the face and her nose was broken.
Then when Tavern was sixteen her mother shot herself and her father started drinking a lot, and coming to work at the pub wasted. Finally it go so bad he stopped leaving the house at all and Tavern had to take over running the pub. She went to school by day and worked the pub by night.
One night when her father was very drunk and Tavern still thought she could help him they got into an argument and her father hit her in the back of the head with an empty beer bottle. It was the last time she ever tried to help him, after that she just ignored him. After finishing school she got a day job and started working on the assembly line of a plastic factory while trying to keep the pub a float.
