Simeon Kjellmin (District Eight)

Simeon is around five feet tall. He is thin (About Ninety-Five pounds). He has long, dark brown eyes and brownish hair that looks gray in the sunlight. His head is unnaturally large and his lips are very thin. He has very thick eyebrows and medium sized feet.

His skin is naturally tan and part of his left earlobe is torn off from when he was attacked by a stray dog when he was ten.His arms are longer than the are supposed to be. He has a scar going from his knuckle to his wrist which was also from the dog attack.

Simeon is very defiant. Most people don't hang around him because he says mean things about them without even meaning to. He also gets in trouble with teachers for saying "Treasonous things".

He is also very clever. When he was eleven he made a dog trap (he is not very fond of dogs after the stray dog incident) to catch strays.

He has an amazing lack of respect for authority and often gets beaten by the peacekeepers for it.

Simeon's life started in the old shack he calls "home". His mother was a teacher and his father is a weaver. Simeon always wondered why his parents even worked, because it didn't seem to help much with their money problem. Simeon has always been interested in the hunger games but not because he liked them but because of the reason they have them. The Capital says it is to punish the districts and to make sure they never resist again but it just seemed to anger the districts even more. Simeon has a feeling that the games are just for the Capital's amusement.

Simeon's mother died from an unknown cause, her body has never been found. His father buried his sorrows with alcohol and often beats Simeon.

Simeon spends his free time roaming the streets for things to do. He once threw a dead gopher into an old woman's home. This resulted in a lot of screaming and a beating from a peacekeeper. He always gets in trouble in school and gets made fun of by his classmates. He only has one friend, a cat he named Gray because of his gray fur. His father hates Simeon for no obvious reason and beats him daily. That usually the reason for Simeon's misbehaving.

Simeon always thought he could be something greater. He thought about running away from Panem on more than one occasion, but no. Not yet at least. He
has always wanted his mother back and hoped that maybe she might still be alive and come back to him one day. He remember's what she always told him when he cried to her about his classmates telling him he was odd, "How do they know your odd, what if they are and you're are the only normal on?" he will treasure her memory forever.
