So I'm creating a character, and I checked the face claim thread to make sure the celebrity I'm using isn't already taken...(she's not)

But before I post my character I wanted to know if you make a face claim BEFORE you create the character so you can put their picture in the post OR do you just put the picture in anyways and claim it after it's approved???

Just wanna make sure I'm doing this right on my first time...^_^

Hiya Lola!

So before the character has been accepted you need to reserve the face claim, then after the character has been accepted by a staff memeber you can go back and ask them to change it to a claim!

In the face Claim thread there are two codes to follow, you reserve the character's face first, because reservations only last a month and people often, sometimes don't end up making the character. Then after your character has been accepted you can change it to a claim which seals it all and makes her yours until you don't want her anymore! ^^

Technically you don't need to reserve a face claim, but then you run the risk that someone else will take that claim (and that is never any fun to deal with =/).

Claims also only apply to created characters so as Cass said, you need to have the character accepted before you can set a claim on a celebrity.
