Personality:
Apesh is a very small, very scrawny individual. He is malnourished and verging on anorexic, leaving him with a thin frame and very pale skin. He is smaller than most his age, measuring at 5'5 tall, and does give off the impression that he is one or two years younger than his actual age. He weighs very little due to his bad diet and suffers from a lack of Vitamin C, or Scurvy. This makes his pale skin almost green.
He hair is an unhealthy blonde, short and straw-like. His eyes are a dying blue, verging on a dull grey, they always seem lost or afraid. His cheeks are littered with freckles, defining his face, which turns unusually red in hot weather. This makes him look odd, as the rest of his body is very pale.
His attire is strange indeed. First off, he is always seen to wear a trench-coat, dark green in color, seemingly originating from some kind of militia. With this, he wears a green beret with a strange badge on it. Presumable the two items of clothing were found together. Under this he wears plain clothes. Old shirts and baggy trousers. Black military boots are a defining item of clothing.
To be blunt, Apesh doesn't have a personality. His extreme autism means that for all of his life, all he has ever done is depend on others. He lacks any independence and never registers anything that is said to him. His response to anything is a vacant stare into an empty space. Occasionally, Apesh will speak in response, but what he will say has no relevance or meaning.History:
This isn't to say that Apesh doesn't have emotions, or value. He is capable of smiling and even laughing at times, usually through sense activities, such as touching, smelling and tasting. These exercises are one of the few things that makes him happy. Whilst he cannot portray gratitude, or even understand what these exercises are, they are a rarity in giving his life some meaning.
From Apesh's perspective, everything is blurred and painful. Noise is sometimes visual to him, loud noises cause him pain and even a rare breakdown. Breakdowns are the worst for Apesh, screaming and violent kicking are the result of any discomfort he feels.
So, it's safe to say that Apesh's 'personality' is strange. His unpredictable actions can easily lead him to walk off a cliff, or even eat gravel. He is very odd, and no amount of medicine or research can help him.
It was always evident from a young age that there was something very wrong with Apesh. His parents noticed that as a baby he never made any sounds, and took two years to start crawling. Three before he could walk. People assured the St. Hamilton's that he was a slow grower, but when you say your first words: "Snueh", (which sounded something like Snow), at the age of three and a half, it's clear that something's not right.Codeword: oDair.
Indeed it became apparent that Apesh was severely autistic. His parents were distraught at this, deciding that their gene pool was too messed up, they didn't want to risk another child. Apesh was an only child subsequently, and grew up with his parent's support. His mother played a huge part in getting him through his early years of mental breakdowns and uncooperation. When he was eight, Apesh refused to eat for six months, only surviving by having food forced down his throat.
The young District Six boy never went to school, socializing never an option. The range of his vocabulary at twelve was: "Snow", "Hungie" (Or Hungry), "No" and "Pesh" (His name, apparently). There was no way that he was ready to meet others. Hence he was hidden for most of his young life, the St. Hamilton's avoided by other families.
At sixteen, Apesh's vocabulary is vast, but he still cannot converse, nor understand what is said/asked of him. He is still very dependent, but can eat, drink and go to the bathroom all on his own. He can also walk around town and find his way home with no assistance: His parents are very proud of this and let him go for strolls, so long as he comes back soon.
He lives a sad life, but a life that is worth living nonetheless.
