Ivory Hollis : District Twelve

Ivory has long brown hair that falls to about her elbows. In District Twelve, they say she has Seam hair. Her eyes are a deep blue, the people of District Twelve call them Merchant eyes. Ivory likes her hair down, but will pull it into a french braid or ponytail when needed.

Ivory is about 5'5 and thin. She has light muscle from running, her favorite pastime. She has fair skin and freckles dotting across her cheeks and nose. She has a thin face, and high cheekbones. Her shoulders are broad, but not manly.

Ivory is very shy at first, but once she's comfortable in a place she becomes sarcastic and funny. She's very bubbly and tries her best to be optimistic, even though optimism isn't common in District Twelve. She always tries to brighten the mood, as best as she can. She has a tendency to try to make others happy even when she is not. She typically looks to the bright side in a dark situation.

Ivory is very stubborn. Once she decides something, it's almost impossible to sway her. She is quick to jump to conclusions, and is known for making rash, snap decisions. She gives up too easily sometimes, and always regrets giving in.

Ivory is mature for her age, though. She understands things that a lot of teenagers don't, due to her family life. Sometimes she doesn't get along with people her age, but learns to make it just fine.

Ivory has a hatred for the Capitol. Not the kind of hatred where she'll go out of her way to destroy them though. She really dislikes the Capitol for the way they treat the Districts, and for the Hunger Games. She views the Games as a weapon the Capitol uses for torture and she hates the Games. She usually tries not to think about the Capitol or the Games though. She occasionally speaks to her mom about her thoughts on the Games and the Capitol, and her mom listens to her but usually tells her never to speak to any one else about it. She won't speak a word about it in front of her siblings because she fears they will repeat her words, which would not be good.

Ivory's current family consists of her mother and her younger brother and sister. Her father was killed in a mine explosion when she was nine. She misses him deeply and can never shake the feeling of sadness when she thinks of him. Her mother got a job at a sewing shop in town and Ivory sometimes goes down and helps out for extra money.

Ivory's sister is seven, her name is Acacia, she looks almost exactly like Ivory, only with grey eyes. Her brother is nine, who has the same eyes as Ivory with blonde hair. Ivory loves her siblings more than anything in the world and is very protective of them (sometimes too protective). Ivory and her family live right between the Seam and the Square, but many just classify it as the Seam, though the houses are a bit nicer than those in the Seam.

Ivory's mother does her best to support her family, but its very hard to do so with three kids, so Ivory works at the sewing shop with her mother, and sometimes does odd jobs around the town for the Merchants. Ivory sometimes goes out to the meadow to forage for edible plants, one time she even went out of the fence, but she went no more than ten yards before she got scared and ran back to the safety of District Twelve. She hasn't been back since.

Ivory is great with plants, and knows what to eat and what to stay away from. Animals love her, but she doesn't really know how to catch them. Ivory is very fast and has good reflexes. She doesn't use weapons often, but would choose knives or a bow.
