Arya Celes Jones
"Every Cloud has a silver lining, I'll race you to it..."
People were useless half the time and annoying the rest. A disgruntled seventeen year old crouched closer to the ground as she looked for the hoof prints of her families goat who someone had let loose some time last night. It was infuriating considering this particular goat wasn't really theirs but rather was pegged to go to the capitol in less then a week! If she couldn't find it they'd have to give up one of the others and lose their milk supply for the next year! Arya crouched closer spotting a half there print on the bank of the small stream that ran about a mile from her families ranch. Fabulous the stupid animal had gotten this far without something eating it but if it kept going someone or something was bound to find it an claim it as theirs.
Was it too much to ask that people stayed on their own ranches? Honestly why would anyone open every single pen on her families little farm house of a ranch -- who had they offended?! It had taken Jenn and Alex all morning just to gather their ten hens and the chicks though they had lost four to hawks meaning they'd have less chicks next spring and their only rooster wasn't pegged to survive for much longer. Who ever had done this was extremely annoying and if she ever found out who had done it they were going to fry!
Standing up, Arya dusted off her three year old jeans, holes and patches showing her status along with the fact that her shirt, though button up, was an off blue from drying out in the sun for too long. Still her shoes didn't have holes, her legs were covered and protected from the light dusting of snow, and she wasn't running around in a potato sack! Grumbling darkly under her breath she scanned the area searching for the missing animal, praying it didn't somehow escape into the woods never to be seen again. Frowning Arya was so caught up in her search she never even realized someone else was out here, nor that they were watching her horrid attempts at tracking.
Swearing loudly Arya stomped her foot like a child, "For the love of everything! Where are you, you stupid animal!?!"
Of course there was no answer. The stupid creature was probably long gone, another loss for her family today. Strike two.
