Sierra looked about her. She hoped no one would notice the pills in her hand. She opened the cap and downed the little things quickly. She wasn't supposed to have depression. Or, at least, so the world thought. She leaned her head back and closed her eye's as she felt the pills take over. They soothed and relaxed her system. But, there were other things that could make it better too.
She walked out of the building, slipping past her keeper. Well, ok, her manager. She figured she had better be nice. The woman had been trying to get the best angle of photos from her after all. Sierra walked towards the back and scavenged through racks of clothes, finding one she really wanted. For once she didn't go for the frills. Yet, it had something comforting to it.
Sierra slipped into the outfit feeling the fabric caress her. The outfit felt tighter on her, it wrapped her curves neatly. She actually felt that for once she was not someone's dress up doll. She was well...actually real. She tugged the black skirt gently into place and smiled as she slipped on a pair of heels she found. She grabbed her purse and took the elevator to the roof.
It was a peaceful place...quiet even. She sat on the edge and looked off into the world about her. She pulled a cigarette out of her black purse and a lighter. She lit it and took a pull from the cigarette. Normally, she would have told the press that drugs were bad. That they were evil in fact...yet, somehow, this one always seemed to make things better for her lately. Her hand scraped the rough cement idly and she gave a small hiss. She looked down, luckily noting she was not bleeding. It would only take a little concealer to...she had to laugh. She was already thinking like them. Like she was one of their little dolls. And she wasn't. She was something more...someone more.
She recalled a rumor of one of their little dolls killing herself before a photo shoot. Some called it cowardice. Sierra wondered if that wasn't smart. This world was filled with death anyway. And with the way they treated people, did anyone really want to be here? She looked down...about 3 stories down. It didn't seem like it would hurt, it might even be...NO. She caught her body leaning forward and had to push back. She wouldn't go like that. Still, she mused, watching the sun set nearby, what had been that girl's last thought?
