If there is one thing for certain in the world, it is the fact that Vail and clothing do not get along well. She and Elise had decided on going iceskating together; well, it is more like she came up with the plan and told Elise. Vail gets on well with some clothes, don't get her wrong, just those are the clothes that do not cover much, one might say. Instead of wearing a jeans and a coat, or even a skating dress, Vail decided to wear a bikini, scarf and a pair of gloves. Yes, it is ridiculous, but ridiculous is the norm in the Capitol, so she seemed to be going about her business without getting too many stares, except from old men, far past their best day, who she had no interest in whatsoever.
Okay, so maybe she is getting more than a few stares, but she enjoyed the attention thoroughly, it warmed her up despite the freezing air around her. The fact that she is an object of desire towards these people brings on only joy and good feelings about herself. Of course, her frame would be much better if she exhibited some self confidence with a straight back, but even slightly hunched over the looks were those of dazzled people. Or so she thought.
Only a few other people dressed the way she did, mostly the oldies with colored skin and many surgeries trying to feel like they did back in their prime, relaxing in the middle of the summer. She is glad that she can give the look some respect, even in the frigid months of the year. Honestly, she is hoping that Elise brings a coat or something along those lines, particularly a long one, because one fall on the ice and Vail knew she would be suffering.
Why iceskating seemed like a good idea, she knew not. The last time Vail went was when she was seven years old. Back then, she had been quite bad, and could never keep up with her caretaker. All in all, it was a bad experience for her, so why go and relive it? Curiosity killed the cat, they say, but she just wants to see if iceskating is all that people say it is. What could be so fun about going in circles on a rink of snow? Clearly a lot.
So she waited, and waited, and waited. It is not that Elise is late, not at all, but more the fact that Vail is abnormally impatient. Years and years of instant gratification turned this girl into someone who just cannot wait more than a minute for anything, be it food, water, or kisses, along with many other things. Soon, she would end up calling Elise, something she did not want to do. Even worse, she might have to retire into a coffee shop or something along those lines, because without Elise, there was no heat for her to share.
OOC: Bleh, I'm sorry, this just, isn't good
