I looked like a person who didn’t want to be noticed. But unlike some I did not have the privilege of blending into the crowd. I stuck out. Perhaps it was the dark aura that seemed to surround me or the disaster that followed where ever I went. I was not one to sink in amongst everyone and watch life go by. I was noticed. I liked being noticed, I liked people seeing me, but sometimes I wish I had the ability to meld into the background. Some of the things I do are never meant to be heard of, only for selected ears. Only those who I chose know of what I do. And of course those who are part of it never come out.

You cower further back, against the wire that holds you prisoner. The creeping sound of boots on the ground sends fear racing down your spine. Only one of them walked with such confidence. The steps come closer, and you find yourself trying desperatlkey to move back, tyo move away from the oncoming steps. If that man was down here, it only meant danger. Your back is pressed up against the wiring that encases you, it pushes onto the concrete wall, as you shove it further away, you don't want to be in his line of sight, you don't want to be near that man.

The footsteps grow louder. The tip of a well shined leather boot, makes its way out from an opening of a door. It was the cleanest thing you had seen in this whole damned place. Your eyes stay glues to it. Slowly you look away from the shoes, your eyes moving to the talior made pants. They were black, just like the means heart. This man wasn't kind. Next came a soft cotton, button up shirt, again talior made. Expenisve, but then again, this man earned a lot from what he did.

You cringe away from his gaze. It flickers over to you, and suddenly understand why they were all so scared of him. His eyes were brown, light and welcoming, but deep beneath that surface there was an unmistkable menace that made you want to turn and run. But you couldn't. Those cold eyes stared right at you and you found your gaze locked with them. There was a false sense of security in them, a light that made you want to trust this man, as if he was good. It was why you had fallen for his trap. Those were eyes of the very devil himself. Altair Melnont.

Strong well muscled arms held tightly onto a struggling girl. A gag covered her mouth and a blindfold prevented her from looking at her surroundings. The man held her with such ease, that you knew he worked out, you knew that even though those arms weren't thick there was a scary strength to them, just like the rest of this man. You felt no sympathy for the new comer. You had been there, just as she had. No one had cared for you. It was the way it worked. You gave up on everything, but your own survival. The man smirks as he chucks the girl roughly into a cell floor, you wince at the impact she makes against the ground. That would do her no favours if she was to fight. Altair doesn't even look at you before walking out. The darkness that followed that man stayed, and his cold eyes were imprinted on your mind. You shrank back in fear.

You remeber the day when he came for you. The soft sweet voice of a kind mind was what you first remember hearng. You had fallen over on the side of the path. Both your knees where scraped and blood dripped slwoly down your legs, stabbing pain hit you. You were use to that kind of pain, but you still hated it. Then he was there, ready and waiting to help you, a mask of concern on his face. It was open and welcoming, he wanted to help you. Not many people offered you help so you took it, you let the man help you up. He lead you down an alley, all the while helping you to walk as you stumbled along, your knees still bleeding. Then he stopped. A smile played on his lips, but it was one that sent a chill down your spin. It made you want to whimper in fear. All the sompassion disappeared from this mans face, and within a blink of an eye he had turned around and struck you in the side of the head.

You went flying, landing hard on the ground, the air left your lungs. It was a strong hit, one that should have knocked you out, but didn't. You blink and gasp for air, your eyes search the alleyway, as rough hands grab you. Your hands are tied tightly behind your backs, and then a gag taped around your mouth. You try to scream, but you can't. Then he looks at you. You wanted to cry. Those eyes. That face scared you so much. There was nothing kind about it. There was only menace and hate, and a cold humour at what this man was doing. There was nothing kind in there, and it scared you, it scared you so much that you tried to get away. Then he reaches down and everything goes black.

I own this little place. I run the joint that puts kiddies in a makeshift ring where they fight. It's like cock-fighting, put your money on the winner, and then they maul each other to death. Kind of like dog-fighting. These kids are my animals. To me they are ntohing more then slaves, pets, creatures that I have no use for. It is fun to watch them fight. I love the way they cower away from me, I love the way the fear shines in there eyes when I look at them. I have been ruining this business since I was sixteen, since the day my brother was killed. I guess it was all in honour of his death. You know, since I was the one to kill him. It gave me the idea, the spark for this plan and it worked. I'm rich, I run a thriving business that is very successful.

When I was a little boy I believed in a lot. I belioeved in the wolrd that I lived in and the people around me. Then my brother ruined it all. You know in that big brother way, yelling and screaming at you ruining your dreams. So when I was sixteen I was tired of it so I got rid of him. It was simple. The guy is an idiot. Just a little accident and it was all over in seconds. I inherited his little house, which is now my empire for all the fighting. My second in command is Bone. A great bloke, dumb and foolsih, but useful. Easy to manipulate, which can be dangerous, but I'm not a stupid man.Then there is my young Tiltoo. I love that girl. She is prehaps the cruelst, meanest girl I know. Perfect for what she does.
