The cool ocean breeze picks up as night falls; you find yourself unnerved by this place of foreboding paradise, where anything could happen. Just as you begin thinking about sleep, a harsh, loud sound disturbs the lulling noise of rolling and crashing waves. Your heart drops as you realize what it is: the anthem. Soon the starry night sky will be alight with the faces of those that have lost their chance to fight. Who is it this time? And is it your turn next?

The melody finishes, and the seal is replaced by the faces of the dead:

You count on your fingers to tally up the dead, and the subtraction is simple enough that even your tired brain realizes that there are only eleven tributes left in the arena including yourself. Ten more have to die if you're to make it home.

The music stops and the projection fades, throwing the Arena into darkness once more. But the tranquility doesn't last.

You are awoken in the early hours of the morning by the unwelcome sound of blaring trumpets, and as you attempt to rub the sleep out of your eyes you hear a rather familiar voice speaking. "Attention tributes!" It is Claudius Templesmith, the famed Games announcer. You can only imagine what he has to say. "Congratulations on your longevity! You've made it to the top eleven; only ten more have to die before you make it home! In honor of your continued success, I would like to cordially extend an invitation to each of you to a FEAST

[/color] held up at our majestic sandcastle!" he croons, as if it were some exciting dinner party and not an invitation to death. "Plenty of goodies will be yours for the taking, so I hope you all decide to stop by! Actually, you don't have much choice, because unlike in the past this feast is mandatory. Of course, I suppose we can't drag you there if you don't want to come..." He pauses for a moment, clearly for dramatic affect. "But my little friend the Kraken awaits you if you decide to skip out." As if on cue, you spot a colossal tentacle reach up out of the depths of the ocean, wave around in the air a bit, and then disappear. You gulp as the trumpets blare a final farewell and Claudius's voice disappear; you know you have no choice.

*Anyone who wants to avoid the feast (max three tributes) vs. KRAKEN

*Should you decide you do not want to attend the feast and would rather fight the Kraken, you MUST PM me INDIVIDUALLY (not one alliance PM) and the first three PMs I receive will be the three that may fight the Kraken; the rest must attend the feast. You have until midnight EST tonight to send me your Kraken PMs. Beware, though, the Kraken has 70 damage points and can attack all three tributes at once, (due to its large number of tentacles) so this fight would be no walk in the park. ALSO: be aware that the mandate does not end when a tribute dies, it ends when the Kraken (or all the tributes) is dead. Can't flee the Kraken, guys.
