The wind wiped my hair, the night cool on my face. I stared out into the dark no signs of movement anywhere. The streets where abandoned no one in sight. I slowly stepped down off the porch the night swallowed me up, I greeted the darkness like an old friend. My footsteps echoed off the empty streets as I crept forward, towards the edge of the sleeping district. The fence rose before me as I edged closer and closer. I looked around making sure I was isolated and alone. Tears rolled down my cheeks, memories strong in my brain. I remebered the boot, the hard force in my back making me whimper, I remebered crying out for help but no one could hear me. I shuddered at those thoughts the memories of that fatal night. I wiped viciously at the tears but more kept on coming, it was never ending. I gradually calmed myself down, breathing in deeply but my body still shook from the memories of that attack.
I sat on the ground and drew my knees up to my chest trying to keep the warmth in. My pale blue eyes sparkled in the moonlight as I stared out into the night. The ground was cold and damp drawing the heat from my body. My life was miserable, nothing to brighten my day only long hours of work in the field and then looking after my farthers when I had spare time. Slowly I uncurled my body stiff and weak. I then setted off grudgingly to the long journey home.
I was a few streets away when I saw the man. A peace keeper was staggering down the street towards me, I didn't know what to do so I just bolted down the street the opposite way of the peace keeper. "Please," I begged, "don't let this be a nightmare come true." I tripped over the curb in front of me and went flying onto my back. The wind was knocked out of me. I tumbled down the street my hair in my face blocking my view of the appraoching figure. I jumped to my feet gasping for air as I ran the opposite direction of the peacekeeper. My legs started to get sore and tired my run decraesing into a jog and my vision blurry. The last thing I remembered was falling towards the earth and then tumbling into the dark waters of unconsciousness.
