Nearly unable to walk, unremarkably I had made my way deep into the forest. The tall trees held a perfect shadow so I didn't have hide my wounds from the sun like I would usually do. Reaching the bank of a river I plopped my butt down for a moment and thought about how I had been running all day and hadn't relized it. Did I really? I did! My ankle must be getting better! I stared down at it. It was still swollen and had a large cut right to the bone. I should get that bandaged.I looked down at the water then at the cut. I stretched out my leg and placed it in the cold trembling water. A chill cawled up my spine and I leaped up, my ankle hurting even worse now.
I limped away, the pain increasing by the second. The sun had start to expose itself and this okay day was turning horrid. Could I ever have a good day? Well I mean I have had good days in my life but never perfect ones. It must be the fact that i'm not perfect! I have ugly red hair, large freckles, and I have no muscle what so ever! Why would Hunter like me? I need to know! I placed my sweaty palms in my face and hid the wet tears from my face. I yelled a little too loudly "I'm never going to be perfect," The strain in my voice made it evident I was crying. It was just too obvious. I had yet again exposed my weakness to the world. How stupid I was being just made me feel stupid.
I finally just closed my eyes and drifted to sleep under a large oak tree. Rain drizzled down from the leaves and woke me. They must be worried sick! I tried to stand but the pain was just revolting. I would just have to wait for someone to come to my rescue. Someone who might be able to carry me. In the meantime I start singing...
