District 9: Glaice Rivers (Updated on 7/4)

Glaice bears dark, chocolate brown eyes that have a tendency to reflect light, resulting sometimes in a chocolate glow that surrounds his eyes. He has dark brown hair hair that's a bit on the messy side, with the length of it reaching down to his ears. Occasionally, his dark brown hair can produce a dusty gold color in the sunlight as he has several strands of red hair mixed into with the majority of his hair. He doesn't have any particular hairstyle as he doesn't quite care about his looks as long as he keeps as he knows he's "clean" in a overall sense -- his "style" however, is basically, wherever the wind blows it. Glaice is about roughly 73 inches tall, which is typical for any boy with a white-complexion. He weighs around 159 pounds, partly because he developed them from work. Although he's not completely well-built, he has an athletic appearance to him which tells you that he's rather fit.

He can usually be seen wearing work clothes, which includes a simple white shirt and a pair of navy blue work pants. You'll only see Glaice wearing his really nice clothes (which includes anything that isn't for work) since he saves them for special occasions. He wears brown leather boots that have leather straps to help tighten them around his feet, they're not clunky, nor loose, and provide a convenient tight fit. During the winter, he can be seen wearing a brown leather jacket with no pockets, it's a little bit big for his size, but other than that there's enough warmth for him to not freeze to death. His really nice clothes -- which he's protective of -- consist of a clean white dress shirt, black pants, a black belt, and a bow-tie. They're not the best quality, but they're one of the best possessions he has with him.

Glaice is a friendly guy who rarely ceases to smile. You could say he simply gets high off of life itself. One of his biggest joys is meeting new people, especially those that tend to understand where he comes off from with his opinions. However, he's prone to trusting people a little too quick and sometimes fails to notice the dangers of other people's actions. This prompts him to sometimes become hurt by the actions of other people. Even as the world deceives each other and hurts one another, Glaice tries his best to justify the actions of people around them with his own assumption that everyone has a good reason as to why they do the things they do. Though sometimes he realizes his best isn't the actual best solution. Thus he follows through to take actions rather than words into battle. He'll sometimes appear gullible, but that's certainly not the case. He has a tendency to recognize the actions of people and justify what they mean behind such actions. He'll know when he's lied to when it's obvious, which makes it's a horrible idea to even think about lying to his face.

He sometimes tends to go along the confidence of other people's ideas. Although, he's not entirely passive enough to not speak out his opinions, he'll try to offer up a sound solution the problem by suggestion. He's quick to form groups with people, and accepts those around him. Definitely not the arrogant type, but Glaice can sometimes be ignorant of other people's feelings and may not always assume correctly about a person. He also sometimes takes the word 'friends' and 'trust' a bit too seriously at times. If a person questions such things about him in an aggressive way, Glaice will take up a stance against such opinions. Such opinions can vary upon whether someone doubts his loyalty, or someone betrays another person.

He doesn't like hurting people, both physically and mentally, and never has been comfortable with the thought. At times he feels he must go against this for the better of not just himself, but for the people he cares about. He's never been comfortable with the idea of deceiving people through words. Occasionally, he tries to avoid such a feat by not telling a lie at all, or in some cases, not the whole truth. If he ever does hurt someone, he'll dwell on the very thought and regret it until he finally accepts the fact that he cannot undo his past. He's not perfectly composed and is vulnerable to being emotional, especially in situations that can make people panic and do things that they don't normally do.

Through many of his actions, some people wind up thinking that Glaice is actually really emotionally unstable. Well, they're right, but what they didn't know is that he can be clever at times when he's not. He has an ability to analyze his environment and use it to his advantage. At times, he'll even use his disadvantages as his advantages as he recognizes that there exist more than just negatives in them. Above all, he's a deep thinker and won't always accept things at face-value. Though, the same doesn't always go for socially reacting to people.

If there's one thing Glaice hates more than anything, it's people who subject lives to their whim and enjoy their suffering. Anyone who is malicious and sadistic is someone Glaice can't stand to be around. He is rather sensitive to such feelings that he dubs as vile and evil.

Bit of a neat freak when it comes to being dirtied in filth or when his good clothes are ruined. Although it is a bit contradicting of him since he never bothers to take care of himself with his looks, which makes him appear sloppy towards others. Although he does have enough sense to keep himself up-to-date with his hygienic needs -- the must-need things.

Glaice used to live alone as an orphan along with many others like him during his early childhood. He's never known his parents, and has decided that he probably never will know them. There's not much thought he ever puts into dwelling on such things, he occasionally just shrugs his life onward trying to make the best of the things he can around him. Overtime, he's learned through his life to rely on the kindness from friends and strangers to fill up his life.

He lives with his foster parents who have taken care of him after he was orphaned for a small period in his life. His father, Weber, is a simple worker who has the simple goal of making his children have a better life, he pushes himself to the limits at times, but is wise enough to not exert himself too much, especially when you're forced to work for such little profit. Glaice's mother, Drew, is a loving and caring woman, someone Glaice has always considered as his real mother despite them having no relation in blood. She also has a well-rounded knowledge of various plants that can be eaten and used as herbs for medicine. Such a feat is sometimes considered a little bit on the uncommon side in District 9.

Glaice grew up with younger children, and has always filled in their spot as their older brother. His life never was anything unusual or usual. Always, he's managed to stay in the middle, resulting in his life revolving around discovering new things, while never actually changing his persona. The people around him say he's always a friendly guy and a nice change to be around. Something that many consider not just to be an opinion, but the truth. Over through the years, he's won over the friendship of many people by showing them that there's really one more nice guy in this world who's willing to help you out.

None, really. Although, I was a bit nervous creating this application as I've never done one where it must be extremely detailed. I was really more nervous when I was discussing his appearance, which is something I don't consider myself adept at, or familiar with.
