*P.S I accidentally put this in the wrong thing, so I'm a little late*

Name: Katri Redpath
Age: 13
Appearance: Has inky black hair that seems always messy. She has blue-green eyes that tend to light up when she's happy, which isn't too often. After her father died of blood loss, she lost weight...a lot. He provided most of the food for the family. She isn't the tallest person in the world, but has long, skinny limbs. Her fingers are very nimble, but extremely calloused because of working on the nets. Her skin is very pale.
Her muscles are strong, mainly because she gave up on net making and went to fish. Her face is very serious and only softens if you have a certain personality. She has rectangular glasses that can chart where the fish are sometimes. Her senses of sight, hearing, and smell are very acute. She never wears bright colors, and is rarely seen outside hanging with other kids her age.
Personality: She used to be very well-mannered and very polite. Her life seemed perfect. When her father died, it sort of messed with her head. She was still well-mannered but quieter, and seemed lonely all the time. Her defiance grew, but not like other children. Her defiance was her silence, that bit into her mother as if she were neglected. Every year, she seemed to drift away from her family more and more. Her eyes always seemed empty, for there was no happiness to light them. She didn't feel like hanging out with her best friend Ivy anymore.
She started to have more outbursts of sadness, once her brother had died while she was away. She would be sitting at the table, eating silently when she saw his chair or her father's she would burst out in tears. But not now. Not anymore. Now she seemed to have no emotion what-so-ever. She seemed completely shut down, and was always alone. No friends would come to see if she was sick or not, and she was extremely lonely when even Ivy failed to show. She started to write in a journal, and on the walls, and anyplace she could find. But that was never enough.
Her brother and then her mother. Her older brother Whytt had brought Wade's cold, drowned body into the house for burial. Her mother saw what had happened, and just collapsed. Died, right there, because of the grief. It had ovewhelmed her. It had overwhelmed Katri too. They buried the bodies, had small funerals, and she locked herself away. Nothing would get passed the walls she had put around herself. Now, whenever she got close to someone, she was extremely guarded. Even with her own family. There was a void inside her now, and the only way she could keep it from getting any bigger, was to sacrifice herself for her family. Which she often did. For the younger ones at least, Whytt claimed he could care for himself.
History: She lived in a small house by the lake. They were near the outskirts of the district, but life was good. Everyone was perfectly happy with their lives. That is, until disaster struck. Their Katri was 9. He would be gone for a while, and that's what made her sad. Her father, a generally relaxed man, had to go on a big fishing trip when Their father had been bitten by a great white shark while on the fishing trip. His leg was lost, and he hadn't survived the blood lost. Since they didn't have the courage to move him, they buried him down south. And that's when things started to go down south.
She started to stay silent in most conversations. Even the most exciting ones with her best friend, Ivy Odair. Nothing seemed right anymore, and she couldn't even look at her father's empty seat without having to leave the table. A hole had been ripped out of her heart, and try as she might, the hole never closed. Until she had met Cedric, her life was a mess, and she wouldn't talk much, hardly at all.
Then, one day, while out fishing with her brothers, she went to retrive something from inside the house. When she returned, Whytt was screaming...loudly. She ran out and found Wade's body cold and shaking on the beach shore. He was almost completely blue. His breathing was ragged, and shallow. Whytt was still screaming fro help as she rushed over to her brother's aid. She managed to keep his eyes open for a couple more minutes. Then his breathing silenced, and so did his heart. Hers shattered. She sobbed over his still body, and Whytt dropped to his knees nexted to her. They wrapped his body in a blanket they had brought and took him to their mother. From there, their mother died of extreme greif and Katri only had one friend to turn to...Cedric. She went hunting with him to get all of her anger out, gaining nearly three sack fulls of dead animals.
"You shouldn't just kill them willy-nilly, Ri."
She took a ragged breath in, "Yes...yes I can. When I imagine them as the shark that severed my father's leg and his connection to me, or the waters that Wade drowned in, or the grief that killed mama, I can." She drew another arrow, and blood poured from the animal's wound.
She felt stronger now, and she wasn't ever going to give up.
