Anthem - Day 8

The cool ocean breeze picks up as night falls; you find yourself unnerved by this place of foreboding paradise, where anything could happen. Just as you begin thinking about sleep, a harsh, loud sound disturbs the lulling noise of rolling and crashing waves. Your heart drops as you realize what it is: the anthem. Soon the starry night sky will be alight with the faces of those that have lost their chance to fight. Who is it this time? And is it your turn next?
The melody finishes, and the seal is replaced by the faces of the dead:
Jae Moreno, District 1
Stark Harper, District 1
Destiny Lenstil, District 2
You count on your fingers to tally up the dead, and the subtraction is simple enough that even your tired brain realizes that there are only three tributes left in the arena including yourself. Only two more have to die if you're to make it home.
The music stops and the projection fades, throwing the Arena into darkness once more. But the silence doesn't last.
There's a strange sort of rumbling in the sand beneath your feet, almost like an ominous sort of warning. Earthquake? you think, wondering if tropical islands got those often. But you don't have much time to ponder, for suddenly in the distance, way off into the ocean, you spot something you hoped you'd never see. Maybe you don't know the technical term for it - maybe they didn't teach you that in school. But you can identify it but what it truly is. Massive wave.
The wave grows and grows as it reaches the shore, until it is, you estimate, nearly fifty feet tall. You stand in horror, knowing there isn't anyplace to hide, until finally it crashes. The effect is immediate; you are swept off your feet off into the ocean, struggling, thrashing to keep afloat and hold on to your backpack full of precious supplies at the same time. It pulls you out very deliberately, as if this were Gamemaker planned; and, you remind yourself, it probably was. As you stop fighting the current and let it take you wherever it goes, you watch, horrified, as your tropical paradise is completely immersed in water.
This is the end.
