LILKA FOI
I'm not too happy right now, having spent the entire day walking around with nothing to do. That's all I ever get to do any more except the occasional trip to the stockades with some thief. Well I haven't had a thing, so I, of course, am grumpy. I lean against a wall and watch some of the coal miners going home, since it's so late now. Always the same thing. They go to work in the morning, I walk around all day, then they go home. Most of the time the kids don't do anything but sit around and act sleepy. Some of them talk to eachother. I would relate them to birds in a flock, flying around, resting, and occasionally tweeting at eachother. I shift my gun to my side so it won't be pressing against my back and wall sit. Some people might find it uncomfortable, but if your like me it's more like a rest. When I lean my back harder against, my legs don't have to work as hard. It's the perfect position for watching people who don't do anything, if you ask me. Revum, one of my friends, is nearby and catches me following people with my eyes. I wouldn't specifically call him a friend, I'd call him a tag-a-long looking to steal action from me. I find thief - he does punishment. I don't let him though, I just shove him out of my way. Sometimes.
"Anything interesting happen today?" He questions. I roll my eyes at the question and shrug my shoulders. "I don't know, does it seem like anything happened?" I answer in disgust. He shakes his head and leans next to me. He's a bit lazy, really. Capitol-born and in debt, not hard to tell. He's got a slight accent and a noticable way of correcting people. He basically just wants to get his service over with and go home, well, that's my guess. "Maybe tommarow something will come." He tells me. I turn my head in his direction, and slap a sarcastically curious look on my face. "You think so?" I ask. "Woah woah," he says defensively, "Someone's in a bad mood." Then he abruptly stands up stright and marches off, annoyed. I give a little grin and go back to watching everyone.
A bit of sneaky action catches my eye. A boy, looking maybe about sixteen or seventeen, is reaching his hand into a pile of oranges. The merchant is seemingly off messing around somewhere at the moment, and mightn't catch this. I quickly look around, making sure I'll get this one, then make my way forward to the thief. Just as he snatches up an orange and turns around, I meet him vis-a-vis. Face to face. He takes a step backwards. A smile creeps onto my lips, because I could play this game, but I won't. I could grab him and break his neck, but I won't. Why? Because I'm gonna have fun with him, that's why. "What you got there?" I ask, peering at the orange he is attempting to conceal. And failing. "A-A-A-" He stutters. "An orange?" I finish for him. He shakes his head. There we go. He's a lying thief.
I pull my gun back over my back and grab him by the arm at first. It's a weak move, but on a weak boy it works. He drops the orange and tries to wiggle out of my grip. "For goodness sakes lady, leave off" he says. I let him go and bend down to pick up the orange. Wiping it off, I ask him to pay for it. He puts his head down and I get another cause to smile. "Can't pay for it huh? Well you got it dirty and now it can't be sold." I taunt. I see that dash of fear in his eyes as he glances past me. Now how will I handle him? Not worth anything major, but I'm can't let him off free. I give a sigh and peer at him, trying to conceal his face by looking down at his shoes.
