Abnegation, Amity, Erudite, Dauntless, and Candor. All 5 tribes represent 1 trait: Abnegation is selflessness, Erudite is knowledge, Dauntless is bravery, Amity is peacefulness and Candor is honesty. Every year, the 16 year olds of all 5 tribes come together and celebrate 'Decision Day', where they will choose which tribe they belong to. After that, each tribe has Initation, where each 16 year old must prove that they are worthy of being in that tribe. If they fail, then they are sent off, factionless. Based on the book, Divergent. I really suggest that you all read it. It's pretty good.
Abnegation Tribe:
Abnegation celebrates selflessness. You must think about every body, but yourself. You only get to look in the mirror once every year, and self-defence is considered a crime. Abnegation people are often called 'stiffs'

Erudite Tribe:
Erudite celebrates knowledge. Most are taught to learn arithmetic, spelling, and others at a very young age. Where 2 year olds wander around knowing how to do long division, and 11 year olds who can memorize the history of Panem off by heart. But, sometimes the Erudite can bore others.

Dauntless Tribe:
Dauntless celebrates bravery. The Dauntless know how to jump on and off a moving train and jump out of a tree landing on both feet and not even hurt them self. They are very daring, and sometimes results in death and injury. But they don't really care. They always like to make life an adventure.

Amity Tribe:
Amity celebrates peacefulness. You often find Amity people fiving flowers to their loved ones, and helping someone when they get a scarred knee. Amity is a lot like Abnegation as some say, but they like to be their own little group. They find and get friends easily, but can sometimes be overprotective.

Candor Tribe:
Candor celebrates honesty. They never tell a lie. Even if it makes someone feel better. Some, who were obviously not born to be in Candor, will take that to an advantage and cause trouble and blame it on another person. Candor people often ask a lot of questions, especially about other tribes and are very nosy.
