The Skanawati Family

District 9 plot

Shahaka Skanawati; [74][female]; she the elder of the family. Took the kids under her arm, once the parents died. The kids were never the same after that. She is a hot tempered woman, but very sensitive. She’s thick in the skull at times her dementia getting worse every day, but she is still there, somewhere in her body. she has these… Phases you could call them. her eyes go wide and her face blank. She stares out into her own little world. Dead to the one she lives in. what happens in there? no one is quite sure, but when she comes out, she is that bit wiser. Has that bit more knowledge.



Ogima Skanawati; [77][male];the beloved husband, always loyal. On the outside. He has a dark past. He keeps it hidden from his family. you see, he loves them, so very much… but his past would betray him, if they were to ever find out. He’s very devoted to his wife, and make’s sure she is the centre of his world. He has the closest bond with Yepa. She is something special to hem. Their bond goes deeper than just friendship. Yepa means nearly as much as Shahaka does, but it’s a different love. She is something special. After all he saved her life.



Astrid Skanawati; [18][female][reserved for Kiah]; she had the worst impact of her parents deaths. After all she had witnessed it. she was only 12,when it happened. They were slaughter by a couple peacekeepers. Then earlier this year she was raped. She became pregnant. There is nothing she can do about it. she is pregnant with her rapist baby. Due to these events she has now became a person whose trust is hard to get. She trusts near to on one, except for the family she has left. She is short on patience, and can be very snappy, but is sensitive as well. She loves her family, and puts all the effort she can into protecting them, she wish she could have done the same for her parents. She holds their deaths on her shoulders. She believes it all her fault the were murdered.



Brigit Skanawati; [16][female]; she is a bit off. She keeps to herself, not saying anything, when she does it sort and to the point. She is scared of the sun. never goes out during the day. She fears it will burn her to ash. Scorch her till she’s black, charcoal. Her flesh will melt off her skin. Everything about the sun scares her to death. She tends to keep to the shadows, muttering mumbling to herself and herself only. She hates attention. She never makes eye contact. With no one. She hates the thought of looking into some one’s eyes, filled with all sorts of emotions, emotions that she had no interest in. she cared about no one but herself. She did care about her parents. She loved them dearly. But when they passed, she was left with no one. She was left to fend for herself, fend herself against all the accussing stares and points. People blamed her.




Chato Skanawati; [17][male][Alabama’s twin];[reserved for Tom]

[/b] the Twins. you know how’s there’s the good one and the bad? Well that’s not in this case. They are both little evil devils. They are definitely not identical. Chato, is very loyal. He will do anything for his brother, they are the closest people alive. Chato is missing a leg, due to his loyalty, this only made them closer. Anyways… Chato is the more sensitive one; he is a bit more controlled. He may think the situation through, unlie his twin. You could even go as far as saying Chato has the brains. But deffinatly not the looks, but you know what they say; you can’t have your cake and eat it too. He is a very jealous soul, but tries not to let it show. He bottles his anger up, letting it never get the better of him… but sometimes when it gets o much.. He snaps, he may do something that he regrets dearly.



Alabama Skanawati;[17][male][Chato’s twin];[reserved for Latisha][/b] Alabama. He got the looks, but the brain? He is hollow. He never thinks things through, and always gets the consequences, never good. He is slow. He gets nothing, and always has questions… but in his case a never asked question may be good for him. He talks a lot. Never shuts his mouth, but never gives away his brothers secrets. He loves his brother, and some may even say he might be gay for him… but really he is just a confused boy. He speaks openly about what he believes in, and is a little trouble maker. He and his brother are two pieces of a puzzle. They fit perfectly together. He would take a bullet for him. If anything is ever said wrong about his brother… the person who said it better sleep with their eyes open. Cause he will get you, he will never let it go. He is the tougher one, who really has no feelings. He feels no pain, except for the loss of his parents… and his brother, but anyone else? They can screw it.



Yepa Skanawati; [13][female];[reserved for Sarella][/b] she has always been a bit left out. She was adopted you see. She was dying. She had been bashed by a gang and left for dead. She nearly had died. She would be dead if it wasn’t for Ogima. He saved her life. He had found in the streets and brought her home. Caring for her till she was back to good health. She has this special relationship with him. She admires him. she is a shy girl, who doesn’t really get along with the rest of the family, she is really just a shadow in their eyes. She loves nature, she can’t handle seeing an animal in pain, and when she does she brings then=m home cares for them. she once brang home a rat. Ogima didn’t like that and made her get it out of the house. That night she sneaked it back. And till this day it still lives with her. she is a very distant girl, never fully there. There is a whole in her heart. A hole that would never be fixed.[/blockquote][/blockquote][/justify][/size][/blockquote]
