Just Keep Swimming // Wanderer/D13

Life in District Four had been hard for Marlin ever since his wife's death during childbirth when Nemo was born, the difficult pregnancy and labor leaving him with a malformed leg. He'd kept Nemo home with him for years, refusing to let him out of the house for fear that he would lose yet another person he held so dear to him. Marlin finally caved to let Nemo go to school with the other kids when he was thirteen years old. However, on Nemo's first day of school, disaster struck where it hurt most. While on a trip to visit the outer boundaries of the district, he was kidnapped. A radical District Thirteen rebel had snuck inside the fence for a small meeting and had seen the little limping boy, immediately convinced that he had to rescue him from his horrible life in Panem. It hadn't been the first time he'd done such a thing and there were several kids living back at the forgotten district with the same stories. Marlin, have run after Nemo after finding out where there field trip was going, saw it all happen right before his eyes. Marlin embarks on the most dangerous and demanding quest any father has ever had to do; Find Nemo.

Marlin (unknown name, 25, wanderer, open): A widower, Marlin is a lonely, grumpy man who lives too little and worries too much. He'll practically have wrinkles by the time he's twenty-seven. He does, however, love his son very deeply. Stubborn is his middle name, whether it be how he raises his kid of how he'll go after him. Marlin doesn't trust anyone very well, not even Nemo or himself. It takes a while to worm your way into his heart.

Nemo (unknown name, 13, D13, open): Nemo is your average little kid. He wants to run around and have fun and see the world. However, is malformed leg prevents him from reaching those dreams. He's curious little kid and just wants to make friends. His father's stubborn personality really bugs him, though the act same stubbornness runs through his own veins. While Nemo may behave well and be very obedient most of the time, he is strong willed and won't go down without a fight.

Dory (Doreen Gen Tang, 21, wanderer, Windy): Dory, a budding little bird who strives to grow wings of her own, can't help it that she simply can't remember things that she was told just minutes prior. She's as innocent as can get, her pure spirit infectious, though sometimes annoying. Her frustration with her disability is channeled into her survival, having left her district years before and forgotten her way back and how she got where she was. Dory just wants someone to find her and take her to a new home; his or her heart.

Gill (unknown name, 18, D13, open): Gill was the first of the Tank Gang to be taken and is the most experienced of them all. He's the leader of their rag-tag group of captives, the oldest and most wise of them all. Gill is quiet, but knows just what to say to inspire others and fuel their hopeful rebellion and escape. His many failed escape attempts have left his with scars all over his body from the hands of the District Thirteen leaders. He simply doesn't know when to give up. For him, there is always hope.

Peach (unknown name, 15, D13, open): Peach is one of two (or three, depending on how Deb/Flo's mind works) girls of the Tank Gang. Her chipper attitude leaves everyone smiling, even when the situation is less than idea. She's the lookout of the group, the informer about the actions of their captors. Her eyes are always watching everyone and nothing escapes her notice. Sometimes, when she's too focused on her job, she forgets how to form proper words and ends up mumbling in gibberish.

Gurgle (unknown name, 17, D13, open): Gurgle is a bit of an oddball to say the least. Ever since he showed up in District Thirteen to hang with the others, he's been afraid to touch anyone. He doesn't even like to be in the same room as others. His OCD over cleanliness drives everyone insane, though there's nothing they can do to stop it. Gurgle himself wishes he had more control over his OCD, but its something he simply can't get a grasp on.

Bubbles (unknown name, 16, D13, open): Out of all of the gang, Bubbles is by far the, well, Bubbliest. He's a constant ball of energy and cheer, the male counterpart to Peach. However, he does have a dark side to him; he's possessive. Things that he's mentally claimed are his, no questions asked. He gets fiercely jealous over people touching his things and gets antsy when people even go near his little box of possessions.

Deb/Flo (unknown name, 14, D13, reserved for Wonder): Deb is a bit of a dits, to be honest. She's a very kind and loving girl, almost motherly, but she has a bit of a problem; Flo. Flo is her "sister" who often runs away from her. In fact, the only time she doesn't run away is when Deb is standing next to a mirror. Yes, Deb believes that she has a sister named Flo, which is really just her reflection. No one tries to tell her otherwise. The one time they did, she cried to Flo for hours, insisting that she was real and that they would never be parted.

Jacques (unknown name, 16, D13, open): Jacques doesn't say much. He's always there, but he's small enough to just blend into the background. He's loyal beyond a doubt, always on call to take care of the tasks that need to be done. Gurgle needs something cleaned? Jacques can do it. Gill needs Gurgle to fetch something? Jacques the man. Jacques is a hardworker and puts his all into everything he does. He tries never to let anyone down for fear of disappointing them.

Bloat (unknown name, 17, D13, open): Bloat is the big man on campus, in the physical sense. He bigger than all the others and has a laugh to prove it, the bellowing guffaw echoing through the halls. He's the strongest of the bunch, easily doing any of the heavy lifting needed for their plans to escape. Bloat is definitely the least clean when it comes to habits, which sometimes puts him at odds with Gurgle.

Nigel (unknown name, 20, D13, open): Nigel is a bit of a bone head. He's extremely clumsy, always bumping into things and walking into doors and just generally finding ways to hurt himself without trying. He is the newsbearer for the Tank Gang, constantly dropping in to tell them what he's heart around the district. The radicals who keep the gang sectioned off don't like him too much, always trying to shoo him away to a different part of the district instead of hanging about their corner.

Bruce (unknown name, 29, wanderer, open): Bruce is a brute, to say the least. He's a big buff man who has no qualms with smacking you around if you get in his way. And by get in his way, that means meet. Bruce is an escaped convict from District Nine, living in the woods and trying to reform himself. However, he just can't help it when the voice in his head tells him to attack.

Crush (unknown name, 32, wanderer, open): Crush is the chillest of the chill, the coolest of the cool, a young guy in an aging body. He refuses to be old, even though he's aging more and more by the day. His refusal to accept the truth can get a little bit difficult to deal with, but he's just living life. He keeps it real with his son and their small group of wanderers, flowing through the woods like its their backyard. They know it inside and out, ready to help even the most lost of little dudes.

Squirt (unknown name, 10, wanderer, reserved for Onyx): Squirt is a little dude that refuses to sit still. Being Crush's son demands it. Crush and Squirt are bros for life, Squirt being his main little man on hand. Squirt has enough energy to fuel a nation, the little guy constantly bouncing back and forth between wanderers and playing games with everyone he can find. He's a little bit naive on the ways of the world, but he makes up for it in his undying enthusiasm for life.

So, dis is Nemo!plot, my first baby. I've been thinking about this for a little while and I just want the Nemo!plot so bad, so here it is. There will be try-outs. It's not first come first serve although, those people that I've talked to ahead of time will have to tell me who they wanted again so you guys can re-apply if you don't get a character and I'm really excited and YAY! So yeah. JOIN JOIN JOIN.
