a scream in the night [OPEN]

With the reaping just weeks away Gotham trained as hard as ever. He desperately wanted to be ready in case they called his name. He knew if his name was called the expected response was to allow a career to volunteer but that wasn't going to happen. He had been a career once, one of the best and if it hadn't been for that accident the crowd would be cheering for him to go off into the games. The accident that left his right arm crippled was 2 years in the past and Gotham knew it was his time to shine. He trained hard any time he could and since training was something he could do publicly without being lectured he did it under night fall.

He worked with anything he could and the nights he got a weapon in his hand Gotham didn't sleep. He trained so hard you'd think he was already in the games. Tonight he was working with throwing blades. He tossed them with his left arm toward a target it was dark but he hit the target spot on. Now it was time to try to throw with the right arm. Now this was a different story, it wasn't as easy to throw with his right. It wasn't as muscular and its range of motion was limited. Thats what happens when it gets caught on a net and leaves you dangling in mid air. 'He heard a paranoid girl speak but disregarded it she didn't seem t close anyway. He loosely gripped the blade with his right arm and pivoted his body so that his right arm swung like a pendulum. He had never tried this method but hoped it would work. As soon as it flew out of his hand he knew it was headed the wrong direction. The scream of pain only confirmed it.

Gotham ran towards the scream his heart beating wildly. Had he just struck somebody? The girl didn't even let him explain she took of running as if he was dangerous. He followed her and saw as she dived into the water. "HEY ARE YOU OK? Did I strike you I''m sorry it was an accident."Gotham hoped she was ok and would come out so he could help her,

ooc- probably not what you were expecting but i hope you can work with it. Most things aren't this dramatic unless you have worked out a plot before hand so I had to tone it down.
