So, after looking around and getting a rough grasp on the combat system, I noticed something. Is the combat system COMPLETELY even? Like does a twelve year old girl from D10 have the same odds of getting an instant kill as an 18 year old brute from D1? Cause, if so, I don't think that's totally fair. My idea is that tributes with higher training scores get more dice rolls. Scores of 1-5 get one roll, 6-8 gets two, and 9-12 gets three. You don't keep all three rolls, but you simply get three chances to get a high damaging attack. If you roll three times and get attacks that do 3.5, 7, and 8 points of damage, you throw out the 3.5 and the 7 and just keep the 8 point attack. This way, Tributes with higher scores have a better chance of surviving/doing more damage.
Just a suggestion if the combat is as completely even as it looks after trying to learn it for two days. If there is already something that tips the odds for better trained tributes, can someone let me know?
