Ocean, 12/(Wanderer)/8

Though he is caucasian, Ocean's skin is tanned enough to sometimes make him seem like he has come from far away. His dark skin makes his teeth seem whiter than they are. His lips are chapped, and slightly red from chewing on them, and he has a scar on his tongue from when he bit through it at age 6.

His eyes are the same as his hair, dark brown and glossy, though his hair is always messily tossed. Unlike his twin, Ocean doesn't obsess over his appearance, often waiting until the last acceptable moment to bathe. It's something that's common in twelve. The exception is his clothes, which he washes in cold water every day. He often wears toques (especially in winter) to protect his ears, and likes warm, loose fitting clothing and light colours.

Ocean is a little taller than Sebastian had been, standing at 5'9. He is slimmer however weighing about 130 lbs. Due to the common food shortages and 12, Ocean often looks gaunt and weak. His hands and arms are scarred and calloused from 15 years of a hard working life.

Ocean is has a more volatile personality than his twin, often throwing in his punch before he fully understands the situation. Although he is quite smart, he rules his decisions completely by emotion. At times this makes him passionate, romantic and charming, however this trait is the same one that fuels his short temper, depressive swings, and sometimes unbearable pride.

Ocean is in fact, very much like his brother, just a slightly larger version of his brother. Ocean, especially around people he likes is outgoing, funny, and very kind. Around people he doesn't like, these traits can come out in their evil twin counterparts, rudeness, cruel irony, and falseness.

Ocean, because of his close relationship with his mother and her leaning towards brutal honesty, can recognize his flaws, and often works to keep them under control. When he bottles himself up too much however, he often becomes prone to nervous ticks, like lip biting and scratching.

Ocean is like his brother in the sense that he craves human contact, often becoming restless and a little loopy when he is alone for extended periods of time. His time journeying to D8 was nearly unbearable and he would be the first to admit he wouldn't have been able to make it if it weren't for his intense curiosity about his dead twin.

Though he currently lives in District 12, Ocean and his twin brother Sebastian were born in District 8 and lived there for the first three years of their lives. Just after their third birthday, their mother, for reasons that Ocean never learned, left Sebastian at the D8 orphanage and took Ocean to D12. Ocean's mother never let him forget his twin, often crying late into the night about the loss.

Ocean lived in the seam of D12, supporting his mother by working in the mines. It was easier than some had it, supporting huge families, but it still wasn't easy and many nights they went to bed hungry. Ocean is exceptionally close to his mother, and because he spends almost all his time working or with her, he doesn't really have any friends or skills at making them. Never the less, Ocean was an ordinarily happy young man.

Ocean lived happily with his mother until the 58th Hunger Games reapings, when Sebastian got called as tribute and Ocean realized who he was. Ocean and his mother watched in terror as his twin entered the games and died, taking a small but harmful chunk out of his chest. The day Sebastian died, Ocean packed his few things into a bag and left district 12. He remembered the face of the girl who had loved his brother, as though he had seen her a million times, and he was going to find her. He was going to ask her what Sebastian was like, and then, when he got the chance, take revenge for his death.

After Ocean left home, he wandered for a while and then set out a permanent type camp just outside of District 8. He returns there every evening after his search for the girl.

It took me a really long time to write this charachter, so some of the descriptions might seem a bit disjointed. I tried to fix it, but I understand if I need to touch up more, and could you please point out where if that is the case.

Also, I wasn't sure where to put Ocean, because he moved from 12 to 8 but does not officially exist in 8. If something need to change with that, let me know.
