Fawn Sterling
Flowers everywhere. Blooming all around, giving color to the light green shade of the meadow Fawn Sterling was lying in. It was summer, summer meant fun. The grass was blooming, the trees were high and pretty and the people were much for cheerier about the good weather. It’s hard to take care of the animals when it’s pouring rain.
Warmth gently went by the whole land of District 10, but not so much to Fawn. She was sitting under a lone tree filled with thick branches and many flowers surrounding it. Red, yellow, blue and purple. The assortment of colors gave Fawn many ideas for drawings and sketches to fill her white papers. Fawn silently tapped her pencil on her chin as she gazed up on at the branches above her, shaded from the heat of the blazing sun.
Whenever she was lonely, or whenever she needed time to herself. You would be sure to find Fawn spreading herself under the lone tree up in the meadow near her house. Ever since she had first found it as a little 12 year old, she had taken it in as her secret fort. She had never seen anyone come up here when she was, but she was sure that other people did come up here when she was not here.
I wonder if the other districts have lots of sun like we do in district 10? Fawn wondered. Her eyes narrowed at the paper lying on her lap. A pencil, paper and nature, the biggest inspiration she could get. The ideas came flowing to fawn as she lightly touched a purple flower slightly wiggling in the warm breeze shooting through the air.
The pencil graced the paper as Fawn scribbled her thoughts. First a stem and then the petals, her tongue slide out of her mouth. A habit that always happens when she is in full concretion. Before becoming to concerted her head shoots up to quickly check on her horse Aurora. The beautiful chestnut horse lay down in the grass just like Fawn. Rolling around like it was heaven, like a day on this, it sure was.
