Your insecure
Don't know what for
Your turning heads when you walk through the door
Don't need make up
To cover up
Being in the way that you are is enough
Shakel sat in a tree, in the woods of District 1. Her flame colored hair flashed in the sunlight, and her blue eyes flitted around the forest. They came to rest on a bird a few feet away. A cardinal. The sixteen-year-old smiled, almost laughing. It was a male cardinal, with bright red feathers. Her mom had almost named her Cardinal, after her bright red hair.
Shakel whistled a three-note tune, holding out her hand. It had a few seeds in it from the market. She had bought them only a few hours ago. She whistled again, imitating a cardinal's call. The red bird chirped and hopped onto her hand digging through the seeds.
The girl's blue eyes shone with joy. The bird. Glanced up, chirped in thanks, it seemed, and flew away. Shakel let out a sigh and lay back against the trunk of the tree, watching the forest. It was almost like she wasn't there. A squirrel put an acorn in its burrow on the opposite side of the trunk. A deer and it's fawn nibbled some grass below her. A chipmunk sniffed the air in the roots of the tree.
The redhead smiled in satisfaction, then started to hum quietly. It was a song she had learned even before she could walk. She didn't know the words, but it was very pretty. Her mother had taught it to her years ago.

Everyone else in the room can see it
Everyone else but you
Baby you light up my world like nobody else
The way that you flip your hair gets me overwhelmed
Right now I'm looking at you and I can't believe
You don't know
You don't know your beautiful
Everyone else but you
Baby you light up my world like nobody else
The way that you flip your hair gets me overwhelmed
Right now I'm looking at you and I can't believe
You don't know
You don't know your beautiful
