Unexpectedly
In a faraway land, a young prince lived in a shining castle. Okay, more like; in the District of five, a young man lived in a large manor but that's beside the point. This is supposed to be a fairy tale. Anyway, where was I? Oh yes... Although he had everything his heart desired, the prince was spoiled, selfish, and unkind. But then, one winter's night, an old beggar woman who was actually a beautiful woman under a ratty cape came to the castle yeah yeah, I know, manor and offered him a single rose in return for shelter from the bitter cold. Repulsed by her haggard appearance, the prince sneered at the gift and turned the "old woman" away. But she warned him not to be deceived by appearances, for beauty is found within. And when he dismissed her again, the old woman's ugliness melted away meaning she took off her cape to reveal a beautiful enchantress woman. The prince tried to apologize, but it was too late, for she had seen that there was no love in his heart. And as punishment, she transformed him into a hideous beast and placed a powerful spell on the castle and all who lived there. Alright, so she can't cast magic. Instead, she brought out a knife and slashed his face twice, one slice carving a line at the edge of his left eye and the other crossed from his left eyebrow to his right jaw. Unfortunately, the wounds got infected (done on purpose by the woman) and she gave him a glass container which held weakened antibiotics. They would be enough to hold back the infection and keep it from killing him, but no more. Ashamed of his monstrous form deformed face, the beast concealed himself inside his castle manor, with a magic mirror large glass window as his only window to the outside world. The rose she had offered was truly an enchanted rose, which would bloom until his 21st year. Well, truthfully it was a rose stuck in a large hourglass that would drain until he turned twenty-one. It counted down the time until the medicine would run out. If he could learn to love another, and earn her love in return by the time the last petal last grain of sand fell, then the spell would be broken she would come back to revert the changes she had made. If not, he would be doomed to remain a beast for all time or in this case, die. As the years passed, he fell into despair and lost all hope. For who could ever learn to love a beast?

Main Caracters
Belle "Beauty" Amour - {Played by Kire} - 16 - Belle is the only daughter of an aspiring inventor named Maurice, with whom she lives in a small part of District 5. Described by her fellow villagers as the most beautiful girl in town. She's called "strange, but special" because of her non-conformity, intelligence and love of reading. Belle is intelligent, stubborn and outspoken, though not very rebellious, and exhibits some traits of feminism throughout her film. In the first film, Belle dreams of leaving her provincial village life and having adventures "in the great wide somewhere", like the ones she reads about in her books.
FC: Erica Durance
Adam "the Beast" Morfael - {Played by Geebs} - 20 - the Beast is seen to be constantly angry and depressed, and he has a more primal nature to his personality, driven by the lack of true human interaction. While there are plenty of servants around, they merely do his bidding instead of being his companions. Overall he's just a twenty-year-old guy who's insecure, wants to be loved, wants to love, but has this ugly exterior and has to overcome this. (Upon his reform under his love interest Belle, his personality changes to refined, but naive about the world at the same time.)
FC:
Gaston Yaegar - {Played by OPEN} - 18 - Gaston is rude, conceited, small-minded, narcissistic, and spends his time fighting, drinking and hunting. He is considered by many townspeople to be the town hero. Gaston believes that Belle would best suit as his wife based purely on her beauty, but Belle is not as shallow as Gaston and refuses his every advance. His desire to marry Belle leads him to evolve from a narcissistic but harmless and humorous buffoon to a menacing, murderous villain.
FC: Miroslav Simunek
Maurice Amour - {Played by OPEN} - 42 - Maurice is the village inventor and Belle's father. However, he is considered by the majority of the village to be insane. The only family Belle has, he is very important to her and loves her dearly. For all of the inventions he makes, only a small percentage actually work. A very small percentage.

The Servants
Lumière "Candle" Incendie - {Played by Charade} - 22 - He is the Beast's kindhearted but rebellious maître d', Cogsworth's counterpart and rival. Lumière tries to help Beast become more civil for Belle, and sometimes rebels against the Beast if it suits the other characters' needs. He is a ladies-man, and is often distracted by Fifi to the point where he will stop what he's doing just to flirt with her. Very open and friendly, he can be overly vibrant at times.
FC: Kristopher Turner
Horace "Clock" Cogsworth - {Played by OPEN} - 26 - Cogsworth is the Beast's tightly wound and extremely loyal Majordomo, and both Lumiere's counterpart and rival. He is very factual and wishes for nothing more than organized and efficient service to the Beast. He may seem rude or uncaring but the truth is he is very kind, but only wants to make good use of his time.
FC: Billy MacLellan
Mrs. Potts - {Played by OPEN} - 47 - Mrs. Potts is the kitchen's head of the castle, and has a loving, motherly feel. She is welcoming to all and is the one to try and comfort anyone who is distressed. She joyfully waits on any guest who comes to the manor, though few do.
FC:
Chip Potts - {Played by Marti} - 9 - Chip is the son of Mrs. Potts. He's young and bubbly, eager to make friends and have fun. He can be a little clumsy and out of line at times, but he never means harm. It's hard to stay mad at the little scamp either.
FC: Jake Goodman
Fifi Babette - {Played by OPEN} - 20 - She is a maid of the castle, who is also Lumiere's girlfriend. Sweet, kind and energetic, she always makes sure the place is clean. Her affections for Lumiere, and his for her, are quite obvious, and they can been seen making moon-eyes at one another.
FC: Tereza Vorísková
Madame Armoire - {Played by OPEN} - 33 - The former opera singer of the castle, she is Belle's closest confidante in the castle after Lumiere. Acting as her maid, though her status is higher than that, she performs simple duties like finding her clothes and fixing her hair. It seems at one time she wished to be a stylist for the Capitol, but she wasn't accepted.

The real names of the girls are Claudia, who wears a red dress, Laura, who wears yellow dress, and Paula, who wears a green dress.[citation needed] They think Belle is crazy when they see her refusing Gaston's advances. They are also upset when Gaston decides to marry Belle, as they are seen crying when he is announcing that he will propose to Belle.
FC: Courtney-Jane White
Mohana "the Enchantress" Layla - {Played by OPEN} - 25 - She is responsible for the events in the story, as revealed in the prologue that it is she who curses Prince Adam as the Beast.
