Aliyah Hanes
Age: 12
District: 5
Appearance: Aliyah looks like she is small for her age, and not very strong. Well, she is exactly like she looks. Small and weak. She has always been small, and small she has stayed. She is naturally pale, too, giving her a fragile appearance. Aliyah is slightly darker from being outside so much, but she burns more than tans.
She has big, dark almond-shaped eyes that are just slightly too close together. Her hair is a soft light brown and falls straight to her shoulders. Aliyah walks with a limp on her left side from an accident when she was young, which only adds to the idea that she is small and weak.
Personality: Aliyah is friendly enough, but she is always pretty quiet. Quite a few people take her quietness to mean that she is arrogant and stuck-up, like she is too good for them, but really she's just very shy. She talks when she needs to, but that's just about it. Aliyah doesn't play outside much like other kids her age. Actually, she doesn't spend much time with other kids, either. Her mother is very protective ever since Aliyah got injured, so she isn't allowed to do many of the things other kids get to do.
Aliyah spends most of her time inside, entertaining herself with books. Reading is one of her favorite things to do, and she reads every day. She is very smart. She is kept inside most of the time and isn't allowed to work with her family's horses.
History: Aliyah's family breeds and sells horses, and Aliyah has been working with horses since she was little. However, she also stopped when she was little. When Aliyah was seven, her dad was teaching her and a friend to ride horses. They were on a trail far away from their house when something scared Aliyah's horse. She was thrown off and in the horses panic, it trampled her legs.
The right leg healed fine, but for some reason, her left leg never worked the same again. Of course, the doctors in 9 aren't as good as in other places, so who could tell what was wrong? Her bones had been shattered. Her dad treated her just the same as ever, but her mom was always worrying and has been very protective ever since.
