Persephone Meadows- District 8 ((Done))

Persephone is a shy and caring girl whose personality is easily seen in her appearance. With dark brown hair that flows in waves just past her shoulders, Persephone loves to braid small flowers and wreaths into her hair. Kind brown eyes are framed by thick eyelashes and she has no need of makeup as her natural glow lights up her face, especially her eyes. Persephone's lips are normally pulled back into a smile and although her nose is a bit large, Persephone feels it makes her unique.

Persephone has fair skin despite how much she loves to be outside searching for flowers. Persephone only reaches a height of 5 feet 2 inches, but she is very slim. Small marks dot Persephone's hands, some made by plant thorns while others are made by needles she practices sewing with. A large scar runs across Persephone's right knee from when she fell and hit a large rock as a child.

Persephone loves to wear sundresses with sandals. Although small thorns and twigs may snag her feet, she still prefers this outfit to closed toe shoes. With long, skinny arms, Persephone is the one people go to if they need a hug or warm smile to make them feel better. The down fall of her petite size is that in a crowd, Persephone finds herself practically trampled as she is so small and doesn't have the heart to be assertive.

Persephone in two words is shy and caring. She does not open up easily, but once she does she will truest someone with her life. Persephone is also very loving. She cannot stand fights and is always one to try and resolve them. Being in the middle of an argument upsets Persephone but she feels like she has to make things better and resolve the problem.

A problem with Persephone's shy and quite nature is she has trouble deciding for herself. Persephone, when faced with a difficult choice, is easily swayed and often unsure of her answer. She finds herself easily manipulated. Persephone also has her feelings easily hurt, but she forgives easily. Unfortunately this means she is a bit too trustworthy and this can get her into trouble.

Persephone does not have to hunt to keep her family alive since her parents make just enough for the family of three to survive. Unfortunately this means that she cannot defend herself if necessary. Persephone does, however, have abundant knowledge about plants and animals. Also, Persephone can slip past someone without them even noticing due to her quiet nature. Although she has never gone more than two days without food and she does not have strength or experience with weapons, Persephone is fairly quick, easily hidden, and intelligent.

Finally, Persephone does not have much of a temper, but if you break her trust, it is hard to fully regain it. She easily forgives people for small misunderstandings, but if Persephone feels you intentionally hurt her or her friends, she can get very defensive. She finds it easier to defend her friends than to defend herself. Persephone cannot physically harm someone or intimidate them, but when someone truly upsets her she can have fiery comebacks, however she will regret saying them later on. Persephone is kind and soft spoken, but this can lead her into trouble and also cause her suppressed anger and sadness weld up inside of her until she breaks down.

Persephone has grown up in District Eight with her parents. Being an only child, Persephone was lonely during the day and would keep herself busy by discovering different flowers and observing small animals. Persephone's mother sews for a living while her father is a butcher. With both her parents working most of the day, Persephone found herself spending more time in the small garden she made behind their house than anywhere else.

Persephone's father was always a short tempered man. A day didn't pass that he wouldn't yell and scream at either Persephone or her mother about something. Persephone's mother would bury herself in her work and ignore the problem. This left Persephone to find her own escape: the garden. Persephone learned how to care for all different types of plants, but flowers were always her favorite. She also grew up knowing it was best to stay quite and simply agree to what her father wanted. Otherwise, she feared being yelled at or shoved.

When she was about ten, Persephone saw the group for the first time. They were a small band of about ten with an eleventh member who always stayed on the outskirts of the group. Persephone would quietly watch them and yearn to be a part of their little group, but she was too afraid. Persephone had always kept to herself at school and on the playground she preferred to sit and talk to a daisy than risk asking another child to play. After all, Persephone never took risks and the fear that they might reject her constantly prodded her mind.

One day, Persephone found herself wandering a bit farther than usual and accidentally bumped into the eleventh member of the group she had been watching. Soon the rest of the group wandered over and invited the shy Persephone to join them. Persephone accepted, although it took a long time after that for her to actually open up to the group. Recently, Hades began fighting with his brother, Zeus, and he began pulling Persephone away from the others. Persephone is torn between Hades and the rest of the group. Since the group saw her with Hades, however, they have not trusted her and this has deeply affected Persephone. Persephone tries to resolve the conflict between Hades and the rest of the group and is constantly bouncing back and forth between the two.
