Skye Dantea - District 7 [FINISHED]

Skye is slightly taller than other females her age, standing at 5'9". She weighs in at about 120 lbs, making her look fragile and lanky. Under her lanky exterior though she has a firm stomach and muscular arms and long-thin legs used for running.

Her face is small, very angular and sharp, but her large wide-set blue eyes give her a soft appearance. Her lips are very thin but her mouth is surprisingly wide. Her nose is rather large and crooked due to having it broken once. She has porcelain skin but has a reddish tint on her cheeks constantly making her look like she's blushing. Her dirty-blonde hair is always down hugging her face, and either wavy or curled.

Despite her soft looking skin, the skin on her hands and feet is very tough and dry. She keeps all her nails trimmed. If they get too long and she can't cut them right away, she'll usually chew on them.

Once upon a time, Skye was a very happy and kind girl. She would give you the shirt off her back if she could and she was always optimistic about everything. She was loyal to her family and had plans to become an architect like her mother and practice her parkour.

Nowadays though, she can be summed up as being a social outcast. She's not shy but she avoids other people at all costs. Skye is known to be very paranoid and doesn't trust others easily.

She's not really capable of having normal interactions with people because she believes everyone has ulterior motives. She enjoys to be by herself, feeling like she's the only person she can depend on.

Despite appearing harmless, Skye won't hesitate to fight back with all her strength if she feels her safety is being compromised. She also has a short temper and is impatient with others. If you actually manage to gain her trust, don't take it fore granted. Once it's gone, it's gone.

However, her loyalty is unwavering. If a person is important to her, she will go through hell and back to protect them. Skye also tends to step into situations if she believes someone is either being wronged in some way or is in danger, even if it means getting herself into trouble in the process.

Contrary to popular belief, Skye lived quite comfortably in District 7 with her family. She lived with her mother and two brothers, her brother Carev, three years older, and Zane, just a year younger than Skye. Her father walked out on the family before Skye could even walk for a reason Skye would find out later. At a young age, Skye was revealed to be a deaf-mute. Despite this, she made the best of it and communicated with her family through sign language, pantomiming and of course, writing.

With her mother being a well-known architect in District 7, Skye and her brothers lived comfortably for the most part. Being the oldest, Carev helped his mother with the income, while Skye and Zane concentrated on schooling and spent a lot of time performing parkour for fun.

Being the middle child, Skye was always forced to choose sides between her brothers who never seemed to see eye to eye, Carev being more stoic and serious and Zane being more reckless and carefree. Skye eventually noticed over time that Carev was becoming more aggressive towards Zane to the point where they couldn't be in the same room. Skye loved both brothers equally but for the most part, sided with Zane most of the time.

When Skye was 16 returning from school early one day, she stumbled upon Carev going through their mother's personal belongings. Skye kept to herself, not wanting to confront him, and returned to her room until Carev stormed in. Carev revealed that he had been looking for proof since they were little that Zane did not share the same father as Skye and himself, and the reason he left is because their mother had cheated. He finally found the proof in their mother's diary though, and was now planning to get rid of Zane, blaming him for their father leaving.

Seeing how Skye was home early from her class, Carev assumed Zane would be on his way home right now. Carev dashed from the house with Skye hot on his heels trying to stop him from doing something he'd regret. Not to far from their home, Carev found Zane. Without hesitating, Carev began to wail on the younger brother. Skye tried to get in between but was greeted with a punch to the face by Carev who was blind with rage. Carev stopped when he realized Skye had been hurt, which gave Zane a chance to run.

Carev chased Zane through the roof tops of District 7 with Skye trying to keep up with them. Zane believing he lost Carev took a moment to compose himself on the ledge of a roof top. Skye who was ontop of the roof top next to him spotted Carev sneaking up behind Zane. Skye opened her mouth to scream to Zane but of course only silence came out.

Carev pushed Zane off the building to his demise. Skye turned him into the Peacekeepers minutes later who took her brother away.

Since that incident, her relationship with her mother has been strained. And with the newest Games commencing, she's not looking forward to watching more kids kill one another for the sake of entertainment.
