Appearance:
Ursula has a very skinny torso; you can see her ribs. She has defined arms and legs and is quite muscular. Her skin is as pale as a ghost and doesn't tan no matter how much time she spends in the sun. She is tall for her age, standing at about 5'5".

Unfortunately, Ursula's left hand was taken off while attempting to cut down a dead pine tree in district 7's forest. Her family cannot afford a prosthetic limb so she mostly relies on her right hand.


Ursula has long hair that falls to her hips. It is naturally brown but she put streaks of blond and red in it with pigments of plants from the forest. She likes to put her hair in 2 low pigtails and instead of a hair band she knots a chunk of hair around the pigtails.

Her eyes are hazel and are light green on the inner ring and dark brown on the outside. On a very sunny day the colors appear to combine and create a deep sea green shade. Her lashes are dark and her eye brows are angular. Ursula's face is oval shaped and she has a petite nose. Her ears are a bit larger in proportion to other facial features.


Personality:
She is a determined girl because despite missing a hand she insists on working in the forests. She always tries her best no matter what the circumstances. Ursula doesn't tend to trust people easily. She has to know you for a long time before she tells you any non-trivial information.

Ursula is usually short tempered. People who insult her family or her lack of a left hand make her the angriest. She loves her family a lot and would do anything for them. Ursula is an extremely outspoken person. Her beliefs are strong and she is not afraid to show it. Ursula will never give into peer pressure and will always stand up for her friends and lend a hand. Despite her flaws, she has always had a quality in her that helps her to tend to sick or injured people. She has experienced pain and hunger before, so she feels empathy towards these people.

One of her flaws is that she tends to offend people by being too honest. She doesn't seem to be very competent with people skills. When it might be kinder to tell a white lie, she unintentionally tells the flat out truth. Her few friends are similar to her in personality so they understand her flaw. She still has the ability to be kind and will help you out if you are in trouble.



History:
Ursula was born in the poorest part of district 7 to her mom Marie-Hélène Vawdrey and dad Domenic Vawdrey. She has a younger brother named Onor Vawdrey and older sister Tianeot Vawdrey. Her older sister loves her and would be devastated if something happened to her, but her parents couldn't care less. Her younger brother depends on the 2 older sisters for everything because their parents care is verging on child abuse. Her brother and sister are both non -eligible for the hunger games and tend to get very loving to her around the time when the reaping comes around. She is grateful that she has the support of her family to get her through it.

Ursula started working at the age of nine, measuring the circumference of trees. When she turned eleven, she started cutting down the dead trees. During an average workday, it was right after a rain storm and all of the trees were sopping wet. She hefted her axe and swung at the tree. It connected but slid down the tree with such a momentum that Ursula's hand was cut off except for her thumb witch later had to be amputated off. Staggering around with the blood pouring from her hand, she eventually made it to another worker who went and got the healer. She had lost too much blood and started to feel light headed, passing out at the base of a tree. The healer and the other worker dragged her to the healer shack. The healer was forced to amputate the rest of the hand, after using a tourniquet to stop the bleeding.

Afterwards, she was not allowed to work and during this time, so she mostly stayed in her house. She slowly learned how to do everyday tasks and eventually started to helped load trees onto the train to the capitol and was not involved with the cutting of the trees anymore.
Before she was old enough to work, Ursula would practice tree climbing and plants that were edible. She also worked on edible plants when she was at home , nursing her injury. Should she be put in the games, these would be useful skills. As a child, she was taken to her father’s work every day. She watched the other lumberjacks work and this helped her to develop skills. Her housing is currently a small log cabin on the outside edge of the forest. It is 4 rooms : a kitchen, bathroom ,bedroom and living room. They often run out of coal and solicit in shops to keep warm.
