Name: Beck Arlyn
Age: 18
Gender: Male
District/Area: District 4
Appearance:
Physically, Beck is pretty much any district’s dream tribute to win the Hunger Games. To start off, he’s about 6’3” of solid muscle, all toned and ripped. He weighs about 220 pounds. He is as athletic as anyone can get. He’s strong, fast, quick, agile, and has stamina.Personality:
Beck has a fairly tanned and clear complexion. He has thick brown hair that is short in the back and usually spiked up and to the side in the front. He has short sideburns and a normally short stubble, unless he shaves. He has deep greenish-blue eyes and thin eyebrows. His jaw is wide and squared. He has an average sized nose that is more on the pointy side. Beck would basically have the appearance of a god, except for his smile. His top front teeth are straight and normal, but his canines are unusually small and his bottom teeth are slightly crooked, making his smile somewhat uneven.
Beck in most ways is the kind of career who you would expect to be favored as a tribute.. He’s friendly, talkative, and has a well developed personality. He’s very popular and has a lot of friends, although he lacks very many close friends who really know him. He’s bold, funny, and the life of any party. He’s a natural leader that is full of self-confidence, who everyone seems to follow.History:
He’s very outgoing and involved. He loves to succeed, and hates to lose. He’s normally very optimistic and enthusiastic about things. Beck is a go-getter who’s quick to act on impulse. He does whatever he feels like doing at the moment and keeps doing something until he becomes bored with it, which sometimes can be pretty quick. Beck is very courageous and self-motivated. He never backs down from a challenge.
On the negative side, Beck has a lot of those typical career qualities. He is very self-involved and self-centered. He’s always been independent, so he usually worries only about himself. Being popular, good-looking, and athletic gets to his head making him very arrogant. He also can be very moody. Beck has a short temper that can set off at any moment. He’s also impatient and impulsive, so many times he does stupid things because he doesn’t think them out first.
Speaking of thinking, Beck isn’t the brightest of the bunch. He’s street smart and witty, but he isn’t by any means book smart or very literate. He never had much time or interest for learning because he was so caught up in training. Training is pretty much always on his mind. Well, that’s besides girls and partying.
Underneath this popular, arrogant, independent, and successful face, there lies a different side of Beck. No one really knows it, but he often feels insecure. This is a result of his drive to succeed. He puts too much pressure on himself, so he begins to doubt if he can do everything he strives to achieve. However, this is very hard to detect in him because his enthusiasm and optimism overshadow and hide the underlying insecurity.
Beck was born on April 1, during the year of the 52nd Hunger Games. Since birth, his entire life had been about career training. His dad was a very proud man, having won the Hunger Games for District 4 many years ago. His dad was the stereotypical career dad, who only cared about his son becoming the best career in all of Panem. He had Beck wielding a weapon the moment Beck was strong enough to hold a dagger up. Beck’s mom was never around. She was always visiting the Capitol to shop and eat and go out with her girlfriends. All through his childhood, Beck was an only child.Codeword: odair
When he was ten, his dad sent him away to a boarding school for career training. The only time he saw his dad was for their periodical skill display performances. This didn’t upset Beck because he never had a good relationship with either of his parents. He and his dad always fought, and his mom never was around to even speak to him. Beck didn’t even know for months after that his parents divorced when he was thirteen.
As he progressed through career school, he became exactly what his dad always wanted. Beck grew tall and strong. He was popular among everyone and had a lot of friends, but probably even more girlfriends. He was the best career in his district, and he couldn’t wait to enter the Games. The only reason he never was in them is because usually the senior careers, or the eighteen-year-olds, usually got first choice when volunteering. Beck really looks forward to the next Games when he can volunteer and possibly be a tribute because it will be his last year.
