Leila Zalinski-District 4 ((Done))

Leila stands at a height of 5'4 and her body is slim, but healthy after living in District 4 where she is fed three meals a day and trains each day as well. Leila's large brown eyes are framed by long eyelashes. These large brown eyes are always warm and welcoming unless you get on her bad side. Many say that her forehead is to big, but this is a trait Leila has inherited from her parents. This trait, however, causes Leila's confidence to waver and when someone points it out, she cannot stop obsessing over it. Another small trait is how her bottom lip juts out slightly due to Leila's slight underbite. This slight underbite gives the appearance as if she is pouting when her mouth isn't in full blown smile or frown.

Lightly tanned skin reflects how much Leila trains everyday in order to become the best career she can. Although she is smaller in stature, Leila's legs are slim and long from training. Also, her fingers and are thin and nimble after learning how to handling weapons. Leila does not wear very much make up, but she does work hard to conceal a birthmark on her right shoulder.

When Leila is upset, she bites her lip and her eyes are rimmed red. Because of this, Leila's lower lip is constantly blemished with small teeth marks. On a normal basis, Leila's eyes and face are open and warm, but it is the opposite when she is angry. Those normally warm eyes can become stone cold in seconds. Finally, when Leila is embarrassed, her entire face and neck flush bright red. This causes Leila to become even more embarrassed and therefore, more red.

Leila has always been fawned over by her parents and therefore is a bit spoiled. She doesn't understand what it is like not to have all the necessities and she is a bit vain. Being an only child has made Leila the center of her parent's attention and she is used to getting what she wants, when she wants it. If Leila doesn't want to do something, she won't be doing it as she is very stubborn and passionate about what she believes in.

Leila strives to always do her best in what ever she is doing, whether it is training or school work. Although Leila is not naturally the strongest nor the genius of her group of friends, she works hard. Leila's ambitious nature makes her a formidable foe whether in challenges of wit or physical challenges. Leila is not the most talkative, but she is always confident in what she says and rarely doubts herself or close friends. Such confidence is practically contagious and Leila works to keep her friends up and help them when they feel down.

To those who are not close to Leila, she may seem spoiled and over ambitious, but towards her friends and family, she is much different. Leila is extremely loyal and compassionate towards those she cares about. A romantic at heart, Leila enjoys sweet moments with those she loves and dreams of a bright future with her husband and children. If someone bothers a friend of hers, Leila will not hesitate to stand up for them. She may not appear intimidating, but if one threatens those she cares about, Leila is a force to be reckoned with.

In training Leila works hard to master a bit of each skill. Leila is not the fastest, nor is she the slowest. She can hit any target with her bow and arrows. Also, Leila has begun practicing with different types of knives since they are common weapons in the Hunger Games. Finally, Leila is able to build a small fire and recognize most animals, however she still gets mixed up with different plants.

Leila grew up in District 4 as an only child. Her parents, Luna and Xavier Zalinkski, always gave her anything she wanted. Leila began training at the age of ten and since then has excelled in each session. Leila has been taught since she can remember that training for the Hunger Games is one of the most important parts of her life and to be chosen for the games would be an honor. Leila feels that if she does not work hard, she will be an embarrassment to the family. Luckily, her ambitious nature and self confidence have helped lighten this heavy weight.

It was during training that Leila met her current group of friends [The Zodiacs District 4 plot]. Leila immediately fit into the group of fellow Careers and she quickly got to know them. Leila became the closest to two of the guys although she is still friends with all of them. There are, however, squabbles among the group and Leila occasionally finds herself in the middle of a few. There are three members of the group Leila especially has a few arguments every once and a while. Although these fights may break out, Leila's bond with the group never falters and she would stand up for any of them at any time if an outsider were to threaten them.

Although Leila is a Career, fighting in the Hunger Games is not her main dream. Leila is a romantic type at heart. While most of her fellow peers in class would groan when they had to read excerpts from different romance novels from before the rebellion, Leila would silently be glad. She dreams of the day when she will fall in love and have a family of her own. This secret romantic side of Leila, however, is normally hidden under her confident and Career oriented exterior.
