Slushies and Drama and Journey, Oh My! [D13 Glee]

A certain music teacher in District 13 was snooping through some archives and found some DVDs of an ancient pre-Dark-Days TV show. Said show was about a bunch of misfits getting together and singing and overcoming all the things. Said music teacher got a lightbulb over his little ADHD head and decided to start the District's very first Glee Club. Sure, they're all a bunch of misfits, but with enough practice and a push in the right direction they could all make a name for themselves... if they can dodge the slushies, that is.

THE CHARACTERS.

WILL SCHUESTER//JACE WHEATON//SOUTH//SPENCER SMITH FC

Starts the glee club, is the driving force behind it. Really wants the best for the kids, but has a few selfish motivations as well (namely earning respect from his coworkers and living vicariously through his kids' successes). Scatterbrained, a bit cray cray, but he knows what he's talking about when it comes to music. A little bit of a whore problem with spreading his affections too widely.

SUE SYLVESTER//PROFESSOR ACERBUS SPEKS//SHRIMP//DANIEL RADCLIFFE FC

The glee club's mortal enemy. A teacher in the D13 school system, thinks that kids getting into the arts can only lead to trouble in 13's overly-structured society. Does their level best to bring the club down in any way they can - even if it means playing dirty - pitting the kids against each other, setting Mr. Schue up to look like the bad guy, you name it. Comes across as evil but really does have a soft spot. Underneath all that hate Sue really does have a few people she... he? cares about.

RACHEL BERRY//ABRIL HEMMINGS//ELEGANT//ERIKA TODA FC

The glee club's resident diva. She's talented and she knows it. However, despite her talent she's very unpopular and gets bullied a lot. Wants to make a name for herself. Fantasizes about being a Capitolite star. Arrogant, self-absorbed and single-minded but also driven, tenacious and passionate. Has this thing for Finn.

The glee club's male lead. A pretty popular guy, he joins the glee club upon Mr. Schuester begging him in hopes that if one popular kid joins that more will follow. Not the sharpest tool in the shed, but friendly enough and has his heart in the right place. He's dating Quinn, but lately he hasn't been able to keep his eyes off of Rachel. This could get ugly...

QUINN FABRAY//REAGAN CROMLEY//NOFO//KAYA SCODELARIO FC

Finn's girlfriend, resident queen bee of the school. She runs this place, and don't you forget it. Insanely popular, incredibly beautiful. Joins the glee club because she notices Rachel creeping on her man and wants to put a stop to it right the hell now. She seems like she's got it all. But what nobody knows is that she's hiding a dirty little secret with the potential to destroy her and her "perfect" relationship.

Badass extraordinaire. Dark past, arrives in D13 on the run from authorities, and is distinctly unhappy about being forced to live underground for the rest of his life. Bisexual, but if he was any further in the closet he'd be in freaking Narnia. What are you talking about, of course he's straight, and has the track record to prove it! Likes to mess with people in ways that aren't good for their well-being. Intelligent, but he uses that intelligence for evil rather than good. It looked like he was really going to have some trouble adjusting until he decided to join the glee club for shits and giggles, only to discover some surprises within. Could this be the beginning of a total turn-around? Doesn't look like it, because a certain mistake of Puck's is coming back to haunt him, and it could shake the club's foundations to its very core...

MERCEDES JONES//ISABELLA CONTESSA//ELLA//VANESSA HUDGENS FC

Yet another diva, but her talent is often lost behind Rachel's constant demand for every solo to ever exist. She's got a HUGE voice and a lot of potential, but she often feels like she's overlooked because she isn't the stereotypical "pretty girl." She's got a lot of surpressed anger and self-worth issues because of this, but she hopes she can work it all out through the music. And hey, maybe she can. Or maybe the drama will just get worse.

KURT HUMMEL//CHRISTIAN BARROW//ZOE//DOUGLAS BOOTH FC

An insanely talented countertenor with enough sass to singe off your crappy last-season haircut if you get too close. Gay gay gay gay gay. Oh look he opened his mouth and a little purse fell out. Constantly bullied because of his effeminate appearance and mannerisms, feels entirely out of place in school and life. The only thing that's certain is music, and maybe that's why he ended up asking Mr. Schuester to join the club. Yet again, his talent gets overlooked a lot, but he's willing to go toe-to-toe with Rachel to fight for a solo. If it's a diva-off she wants, it's a diva-off she'll get!

Don't let the blatant dorkishness fool you, he's got more swag in his little finger than you have in your whole body, son. If only the guys (well, Puck and his cronies, at any rate) who lock him in a supply closet every day could see that behind the nerd glasses and immaculate hairstyles that his mother forces on him. He's desperate to prove himself, desperate to be cool even if he's only considered that way by a group of misfits like himself, and maybe this could be his opportunity.

MIKE CHANG//SULIVAN YALE//SHINE//JAMIE JOHNSTON FC

He just wants to dance, yo. Not the best musician, but he lives under a lot of pressure at home (his parents are high-ranking D13 officials) and just wants a chance to cut loose... footloose. Of course, if his family knew about glee club they'd make him quit immediately, but he's pretty sure he can keep his dancing feet under wraps... for now.

SAM EVANS//SAMWISE TOSKA//ELEGANT//ARMIE HAMMER FC

New arrival in D13, hails from a very poor district. Has several younger siblings that he's responsible for caring for. Has a lot of stress to deal with, but remains good-natured throughout his trials. Likable and friendly although he's not too bright, was fairly popular until he started looking into glee club as an extracurricular. He just wants to do something that matters, you know? Something where he can be someone. Well, he can be someone here. Someone covered head to toe in cherry slushie.

SANTANA LOPEZ//ALYSSA ROCCIANO//CHAOS//MONICA BELLUCCI FC

Yet another queen bitch. Quinn's second in command, but not for long. Santana's ambitious, cunning, and ruthless, and she has her eyes on Quinn's throne. She also has her eyes on Brittany, but no one can know about that. As if being dragged into this stupid glee club didn't stunt her social growth enough, being outed would kill it completely. So shut your mouth, got it? She's got razor blades woven into her hair. All up in there.

BRITTANY PIERCE//BENTLEY SWANN//MARCI//SHIN MINA FC

One of the "unholy trinity," Santana's best friend with benefits. Don't call her dumb. She's not dumb. What are you talking about, of course unicorns exist! Not so much stupid as she is incredibly wise in a way that not many people understand. Gullible. Good-hearted. Goes out of her way to make people happy. Especially if those people let her copy their math homework. She can never tell what that little dash between the numbers means.

TINA COHEN-CHANG//HELLEMINE CAUCHEMAR//KAY//KRISTEN STEWART FC

Extremely shy. Bullied a lot for her odd fashion choices and awkward personality, but hidden underneath all of that is a girl with a lot of talent and more spunk and tenacity than you can shake a stick at. Was one of Mr. Schue's first music students and one of the original founding members of the glee club. Dependable, but not necessarily honest about everything that goes on in her life.

Not the best singer or dancer, but joins the glee club for the hell of it. Extremely insecure when it comes to her appearance, but covers it up with her personality. Loud, brash, says whatever the hell she wants and doesn't care what you think. And she has her eye on that cute little badass Puckerman.

SUGAR MOTTA//OPHELIA DARLING//LALIA//LILY COLLINS FC

Can't sing to save her life, but desperately wants to be a part of the glee club because Mr. Schue is totally her BFF duh and that's why she got in. Doesn't really have a filter or a concept of social acceptability, says whatever she wants. She mainly just sways in the background and sings very quietly, but she's content with it...maybe.

BLAINE ANDERSON//DAY BRENSON//SKYLAR//KEVIN FLAMME FC

Total emotional anchor of the glee club. Strong personality, caring, steady, smart, wants to help people with their problems. Gets bullied a lot, but remains friendly and open-minded towards everyone, even the people giving him crap. Really talented, challenges Finn for a lot of solos.

HARMONY//AMITY GERBER//MATT//LEIGHTON MEESTER FC

Rachel's arch nemesis. Just as talented, just as driven, and just as willing to take someone out to get those solos. Mr. Schue's going to have his hands full dealing with the drama from these two alone. Here we go...

The new kid in town, bumbling and awkward, but a sweetheart and insanely musically talented. He's super gullible and pretty naive, so people tend to take advantage of him, but he's not really all that bitter about it. He has the best intentions even though he drops the ball sometimes. Super affectionate, loves everybody. Also flamingly gay, but hey, that shouldn't be a problem. Right?
