The Maything Family (open) (District 1)

Martynum 'Marty' Maything - Male - Age 47 - Open - Martynum is the father. Drunk, and slightly abusive, he is rather judemental. If you can't fight you just don't make it with him. For instance, he finds Tibby absolutely terrible because of her lack of strength. He thinks Red is probably the best of his children, being the fact he is the strongest oldest, and agrees the most with him. Martynum is nicknamed Marty, of course. He usually rhymes in his talking without meaning to, and won't even realize it unless someone points it out, and he'll say he doesn't know what they're talking about.

Red Maything - Male - Age 27 - Open - Red is married to Margaret, and together they are Red and Margaret Maything. He doesn't like her much, and is abusive to her, just like his is to Tibby and Felix. A chip off the ol' block. He is cheating on "Margie" with Sue, the supposed love of his life. Red once tore Tibby's legup so badly she gained a limp for wuite a while because she caught him with Sue, and would willingly do it again. When he was a young boy, before Vondoli was Avoxed, he blinded the poor boy in one eye! It is a large surprise he hasn't been avoxed. He is known to stop in mid setnece to recite a medium length line of poetry, which will often get the person he is talking to wondering.

Vondoli Maything - Male - Age 23 - Open - Vondoli was sweet when he was little, calm, and basically Felix, until Felix came along. For some reason, which no one but he knows, he turned rather sociopathic. Maybe he was meant to be that way, or perhaps something startled him into it. Nonetheless, he attempted to murder his father, and ended up in the capitol, an avox, resentful of his life. Quite the screw-up! Poetry? It has become his life. (remember one of his eyes are blind)

Gregory 'Greg' Maything - Male - Age 21 - Open - Gregory is expected to end up like Red and his father, being the sadistic one. He hurts people for fun even though it is never very severe. He is by almost as strong as Red, and much a muscle head. He isn't that smart. He is stupid, plain as that. He amuses himself with his pet rat, which he likes setting loose in people's beds. Oh how fun it is to see Kyleth squeel! Getting yelled at is no problem, all he has to do is run out of the house! His poetry? Hah! He couldn't be bothered!

Barthalamew 'Barry' Maything - Male - Age 19 - Open - Yes, it is a strange spelling for the name, but that's the way his mother wanted it. He is not one to fight, and acutally prefers to use his words. Oh yes, his words. Insult after insult will tumble out of his mouth, you name it he says it. Although it is questionable on if he is a softie, for he has a severe liking for nature. He must hide it though! Even if every single one of his poems reflects it!

Kyleth Maything - Male - Age 17 - Northwoman - Kyleth is the smoothest person you will ever meet when it comes to combat. Before you can blink an eye you'll be wondering what that sharp feeling in your leg is. He has a soft spot for kittens, though. Kyleth is a hard core career, and it reflects in his daily life. He is still in the "competition" to be Reaped, and he still trains as hard as ever. He knows he is the only one left besides his brother Felix, who doubts can win, and Tibby, who in his mind is a twig he needs to just snap one of these days. His poetry is the scariest of them all, sometimes relfecting the thoughts of a madman.

Felix Maything - Male - Age 15 - Kaylin - Felix, the faithful twin of Tibby, tries his hardest to live up to his father's expectations, even though he truly doesn't want to. He is as close to his sister as a best friend, maybe even as a husband, though he doesn't let his feelings venture into that area. Severely protective, he doesn't want to hurt anyone. Still, it is rather fun to carry his sister, who seems light as a feather. His poetry is about his family, whether it be the rough conditions his house puts him in or his worries over his sister.

Tibby Maything - Female (omg) - Sarella - Tibby. Now where to begin? Ever since her mother died she has been the only girl, and she does wish her other twin would have survived rather than died so she wouldn't be the only female. Nonetheless, she has Felix to support her. She is much like a damsel in distress, much to her disliking. She is in a career district! Still, having a disease like her's makes it hard for her to live up to those expectations. Forgeting that rebellious side of her? What's that sly, stealthy mind going to do next? She is a true kleptomaniac, though she will calmly ask people not to call her a maniac, please. Her poetry is long, and for some reason, even with her personality, it comes in second for the scariest of all.
