So of course it was Jae that was reaped, not like he didn't love the attention, but a part of me knew that I'd miss the boy from the candy shoppe. Even if he won, he'd be too big for his britches to spend time with me again. Taking another sip of my wine I watch the games hoping that I don't have to see a horrible site like that bird pecking out his eye again.
I've seen some disgusting stuff in my life, but that...that was up there. Maybe tonight I'd go out and enjoy something to take my mind off of it. Even if he comes back I'll never be able to get that sight out of my mind. The bloodied scratches running down his face, the empty hole where that beautiful blue eye used to be...I give an involuntary shudder and down the rest of my wine.
"Daddy I'm going out. I'll probably be back later...I don't really know though!" I call up to him grabbing a jacked and casually stumbling into the street. I know I'm not dressed up to my normal 9s but tonight I really don't care, 3 glasses of wine have warmed my insides and left me feeling a little careless and I whistle a little tune as I walk towards one of the less strict clubs in the area. They all know me, know that I'm not old enough to be there, but with my dad's money they'd never tell me no.
I smile at the big brute of a guy standing outside, obviously a former Career who never went in trying to put those massive muscles to use. His eyes trail over me, with a smirk. I've been here one too many time and the wobble in my step lets him know I'm already a few sheets to the wind, laughing I look at him as he pushes the door open "Why thank you good sir." As a joke I do a little curtsy at him and he giggles back. Blast in a Glass like they all say.
The inside of the club is fairly empty its still not too late in the night for it to be in full swing, but there are enough people to keep me entertained. Swaying my way over to the bar I order another glass of wine, the bartender eyes me over but I raise my eyebrows and lean in. "You know my family, right? and before I'm even settled in the other bartender places a glass in front of me. At least this will keep me content for a few more hours. Then its probably back to the house for more of the "thrilling adventures of Jae and Stark."
