Well I didn't tell anyone
But a bird flew by
Saw what I've done
He set up a nest outside
And he sang about what I'd becomeAfter the Bloodbath, you just ran. You left behind all of the potential items you could have in your bag right now, and sprinted. Ignoring all of the pain radiating through your body, the only thing you were focusing on was getting out of there. So, you kept running forward, tempted not to look back, but you still had to. You could hear the grunting and the metal hitting metal and you could hear the crying. The good thing is that it wasn't you being thrown around in there. You weren't sure were any of the others were, probably still fighting, or possibly fleeing in a different direction, but you definitely didn't see them behind you. The Cornucopia behind you was a constant reminder of where you were and why you had to run until you couldn't anymore. As the sloshy, slow-current river came into your view, your first thought was Water. But, Alaska, as you inched closer and closer to the river, you realized how dark and dirty the water was. That'll be my last resort you told yourself. Too tired to make any sense of the Arena, you started to step into the muddy water, hoping no strange animal or bacteria was in there. But it's the Hunger Games, so why would you assume such a foolish thing?
The brown, thick water is ruining your clothes, and your socks, but you could care less about that. The swamp-like water feels good. Not that it's extremely hot, but it's humid. The sweat dripping off of you gets lost somewhere in the river, and your jealous. You want to be taken by the current, too. You just want to disappear. Not wanting to venture too far across the river - because you don't know what's over there, Alaska, and you need to find your alliance - you left your bag just inches from the bank of the sloshy river (except for your water jug, which you fill with the dirty water). Wanting to protect it more, you walk over to them and sit down next to the bag. You go through your supplies, making sure you didn't drop any. Six throwing knives? Check. String? Check. Socks? You look down at your now-brown feet to confirm that your socks haven't fell off. Water jug? Check. Sandal? Check. Everything you thought you had was still there. You knew you dropped one of your sandals during the Bloodbath, but you figured you didn't really need it. You don't even know why you kept this one Alaska. Maybe because, like the water, it'll be your last resort. You stuff all of your possessions into your bag, and for the first time, the pain hits you. Your cheeks hurt tremendously. Aria had put a welt in one of them with her stupid whip, and Damion hit her there with Ripred knows what, leaving such a deep cut it's bound to be a scar. And Aria's stupid cripple brother hit your collarbone, twice. You don't even know how exactly he up there, but you assume it must have been when you were picking something up. Both of the sides are bruised, but the left one has a gash in it. These Wolfe's need to go. Also, your forehead has a shallow cut on it.
You can taste the blood inside your cheek, Alaska, and it isn't pleasant. The water in front of you looks pleasant, at least you can use that to wash out your mouth, but you don't want to get sick from that. So, you just build a lot of spit in your mouth and hope that'll do for now. You freeze when you hear footsteps. As the figure comes closer to view, you can see who it is, Vitani. For a few seconds, your heart was pounding, that could have been the end of you for all you knew. "Vitani!" You whisper, even though it's forced out like a scream. You have to stay hidden. "It's Alaska, right here." You wonder where the others are, Almar and Dragan. At that moment, you don't care, you just want to find one of them. You want to feel safe. Cygnus. You almost forgot about her. Thoughts of how she is and who she is with and all of those topics fill your mind. The thing you just want the most, though, is for your dad to be with Cygnus. To be watching. Cheering me on, praying. You hope that's what's going on. And you hope your mom is looking down on you, too. But maybe not. All that matters is she's in your heart.{ooc: alaska fills her water jug.

He sang so loud
Sang so clear
I was afraid all the neighbors would hear
So I invited him in
Just to reason with him
