Not a day goes by that Vara Hearts doesn't contemplate where her appearance came from. Were those oceanic eyes given to her from her mother? Or had they been her father's? And what about the rubicund lips that puffed up in that longing, desirable way? Had her grandmother used those same lips to seduce a random passerby in exchange for a few bucks to buy some Mary Jane when she should have been buying milk? Or maybe the thick, luscious thighs that protruded from underneath her always short skirts had been her aunt's same thighs. All the things that characterized the appearance of Vara puzzled her, as she had never met a single member of her family in her life time. Of all the parts of her body, however, there was only one part she knew was completely her, no matter who her family may or may not have been.

With naturally blonde hair that is dyed, cut, or styled differently every few days, the girl feels as this is the only part of her where she can be unique. In a constant struggle to find herself, and always seeming as if she's just a copy of some other person she doesn't even know, Vara has to do this to herself to be different from whoever irresponsibly dropped her off and left her to die.
