Warren Somerled
The basics
You can call me Somer, if y' want. Most people do.
I'm nineteen years old, born on the seventh day of the seventh month.
I'm male, and no, you can't check without taking me on a date first.
The Capitol is my one true home, though I do like to take excursions every now and then.
My looks
Well, being from the Capitol, I have to look quite dashing. Otherwise I'd be kicked out. We are all very attractive people here. A lot of people say I look like my dad. Some say I look like my mom. I say I look like myself.
What does myself look like you may ask? Well, since myself is a very good friend of mine I'll try to describe him as accurately as possible. He's a very handsome fellow, really. The ladies are falling over themselves for him. Myself is about six feet tall, maybe a bit shorter. He has fantastically well-toned abs. You'd like to meet him. Especially if you happen to be female. Of course, I'm not too picky. I take all kinds, not just the girls.
I could talk about my strong and well defined abs some more, if you'd like? No? Okay. Well then I'll start from the top. I've got blonde hair, that is wavy and windswept. I definitely like it that way. It stands out here in the Big C. Know why? Blonde is my natural hair color. That's right boys and girls, I happen to naturally sexy. My hair is amazing, yeah, but it tangles really easily. That can be a pain.
My next favorite feature is my eyes. I have olive green eyes, also natural, that are really pointy on the ends furthest from my nose. I love the color. Not only are green eyes totally underrated, but they're also attractive. It reminds me of the way the sea looks sometimes. Above my eyes are brown eyebrows. I've had people tell me it's insanely weird that my eyebrows don't match my eyes, but I think it just makes me more unique. Especially since I dyed them that way. My nose is an average nose. And my mouth is an average mouth. But not all my features can be perfect. That just wouldn't be fair.
Like I said earlier, I'm about six feet tall. I have a year-round tan, because, living in the Capitol, I can get all the sun I want whenever I want. Not to mention my regular excursions to the shore. Surfing out there helps me with the muscle thing and my tan. My abs aren't my only muscles. My arms and legs get their fair share of exercise as well. My head sits low, close to my shoulders, because I have a pretty short neck. Because of that, I try to stay away from turtlenecks.
Speaking of outfits, I like to dress in comfortable clothes. I like baggy shirts and worn out jeans. When I do have to dress up though, I find I look quite good in suits. I have a certain fondness for ties, especially ones that are bight colored with cool patterns. I'm not really into accessories, but when I do wear jewelry, I make sure it looks awesome. I have a few leather pendant style necklaces, and I almost always wear a watch. That's about it for style I guess.
Personally...
I guess you people want to know what I'm like. How am I supposed to tell you? I mean, the best way for you to get to know me is, well, to get to know me. You won't be disappointed. And don't worry, I only bite on days ending in "y". Kidding! I don't ever bite.
So... about me. Well, I'm charismatic. People like to talk to me, y'know? And I like to talk to them as well. I'm a very warm, sunny sort of person if you'd like to know the truth. I consider myself a bit of a socialite. The talking and the parties and the drinking and the parties and the ladies and the parties. It all appeals pretty well to me. I also fancy myself as being adventurous. I'm into travelling everywhere that I can. Sometimes, I even get to bounce around the Upper Districts with my work. District Four is my favorite by far. Something about surfing is just so much better in a real ocean than in a Capitol wave pool.
That's my favorite pastime, by the way. I love surfing even more than I love parties. Hell, I love being in the water more than I love the Capitol itself. Did I say more? I meant almost more. But if I were unfortunate enough to have to live in one of the Districts, I'd definitely pick Four. Back to my being a bit adventurous, well, I suppose it comes naturally in my family. My mom and dad, they breed exotic pets. I find that a bit thrilling myself. That's why I've taken up the family business. I also find myself into extreme sports, when it suits me. I've tried swimming with sharks, car and hovercraft racing, jet skiing, mountaineering, and a few others. I never did any snow sports though. I'm not too fond of the cold. Me, I like the sun and the heat.
I think I'm an all around good person. On top of that, my friends say I'm funny. I'm not sure that I am, but my jokes do generally tend to have a positive effect on others, so maybe they're right. I have what you'd call a short attention span. Microscopic attention span, really. I want things done quickly, and I don't mind taking action to make them happen. My action though... it doesn't always work out the way I plan. But hey, who's life ever does, am I right?
I don't consider myself very susceptible to emotions. Emotion makes you look weak, most times, and I can't stand looking weak. That's not to say I don't have feelings, I just try not to let them affect me too much.
Well, I could talk about myself all day, but you don't want to hear all that, do you? Didn't think so. We'll move on then.
The Before Time
I was born to a family of moderate means- by Capitol standards anyway. We were... unusual, to say the least. See, we couldn't live in the center of the city due to the nature of my parents' profession. We couldn't live in the city at all, actually. We hovered on the outskirts of the Capitol, close enough to reach the hub of the city in under a half-hour by train, but still far enough away to feel like we didn't truly belong. But hey, I was the third child of six. With so many kids running around the house, who needs the city life to keep you entertained?
