I'm not pretty like other girls. Not pretty at all, actually. I was told I look pretty but that doesn't change the fact that I can't be happy with how I look. Dark hair looks oddly out of place on my tanned skin. Lips too thin that no boy could find attractive. I'm not pretty. If I was, that would numb the pain, right? I wish I could be in the Capitol, where I could shell out cash and get pretty like I want to be. Eva says it's because I don't love myself, and she's right. But it's a moot point. If I was pretty, I would love myself. Loving myself falsely wouldn't make me pretty. I don't understand the concept. How could I love myself if there's nothing to love about me? I can't sing pretty. I can't hold a weapon to save my life. I'm nothing and that's all I'll ever be. But how I wish I could be like the others.
