do you feel like a man
when you push him around
when you push him around
a mask, solely for the disguise
Dark black hair flourishes and flows softly but messily over his head. It seems an eerie shade of purple when it comes into contact with sunlight, and it can remind a person of the hue of a raven's feather. Thick, unkempt eyebrows of the same colour pop out wildly and intensely against his shock of pale skin. As much as he is exposed to the sun, its rays never seem to bless him with their kiss of colour.
A thin, bony body holds up Galen, not well fed and most like malnourished. Ribs easily visible through clothing and skin hanging limply on his bones, he is not a healthy site. His skin is dry and scaly from a lack of moisturizing, and sometimes during the colder months they chap, peel, and bleed.
Tall for his age of thirteen, his height of 5'4" has gotten him some crude remarks over the years. His legs are long and lanky, and they provide wonderful springs for running fast and getting around quickly. Large feet are hard to find shoes for, and often times he goes barefoot during the warmer months. He prefers it that way, anyways.
his actions, only for the impression
Intelligence is a major advantage, and perhaps a major disadvantage, to Galen. He learns from experiences, and forms and molds his choices and motives based on them. Still, he can be spontaneous and reckless, perhaps more than is good for him. He gets into trouble a lot, despite his ulterior intelligence.
Deviousness is engrained in Galen's motives, as well. He can connive, he can scheme, he can sweet talk, he can do anything he wishes to attempt to acquire what he wants or needs. He can trick you into believing something that you will later think was a stupid thing to believe in the first place. He is good with his words, and is very ambitious when it comes to getting what he wants.
Calling Galen's fuse short is an understatement. The smallest snide comment or a joke directed at him will send him into an angry, heated frenzy. People know to steer clear of jokes about him, and his closest friends know what kinds of phrases to avoid. Galen also gets frustrated easily. Instead of retrying something when he does it wrong, he gets angry and refuses to complete the task at hand. He rarely finishes projects and starts far too many.
a diary, ideally for the story
Life started out normal. Born into a good family-one that didn't necessarily make a lot of money, but enough to get by-, things were all well. Fights were rare, stress was minimal, and callous words were nonexistent. You could say that Galen's family was the poster child for the "perfect family."
Soon after, Elric was birthed into the world, and their family seemed to become even more happy. Everybody knew them as the family where nothing went wrong, where nobody went hungry, where everybody was loved and tended to. No rumours were spread about them, and everything was peaceful.
But one day, things got hectic. Galen and Elric awoke to screams and crashes, and glass breaking and words being shouted and chaos. As they crept into the hallway, they noticed their mother and father fighting. One second she was standing, and the next she was sprawled on the ground, a welt forming below her eye. She lay sobbing on the floor, and he towered over her, an aura of success and power radiating in thick, strong waves. This continued for a long while, and pretty soon the anger, the torment, and the beatings turned to the boys as well. You can now easily pick out marring bruises and contusions, everywhere from the face to the legs.
