Just Another Day ~*
The Morrisey’s are a seemingly normal family, a few more children than most – a higher risk of getting reaped, but when one visits the household, you wouldn’t expect the dark secret that is hidden from every smiling family photo lining the plain beige hallways of the home. For a couple years now, the Morrisey siblings have been dealing with the loss of their eldest brother in different ways – some through art and music, and some through bizarre habits and peculiar skills, some even taking up new forms of destructive art.[/blockquote]
Mr. and Mrs. Morrisey had always had high standards, their children were all smart and passionate and one day would run each and every factory around town. The couple were nice enough. Outside the home they were nothing but kind to every single person they met, however at home the insane pressure pushed on the children is often too much – they had to stay in line, behave, do well in school or they’d be out the door.
Not a single child doubts that – and they fear it on a regular basis, being on the streets at such a young age in one of the lower districts was not an easy life to live, and yet Jett still managed to do it all of these years. They’re eldest brother Jett was a secret, anyone who knew about him now thought they were sadly mistaken. Every trace of the boy who once lived in the household was removed, all pictures were erased, every single personal belonging had suddenly disappeared one day and his room was now an office space. Jett was not dead, he hadn’t been reaped nor had he been killed, yet. At the age of sixteen, Jett had been kicked out of the house for not meeting the set standards by the Morrisey parents.
Jett was always different – he was a hunter from a young age, and with the industry change, he didn’t cope well taking to still torturing and killing animals. It escalated – to the point where he got kicked out, and is now wanted for murder though none of the children know why. They are banned from seeing him and are forced to pretend that he doesn’t exist. But he’s out there, and this bond only strengthens these children. They would be reunited one day.

Just Another Day is a family plot surrounding the Morrisey family and the loss of their brother. I’ve been toying with my character for a while, but she doesn’t seem right without some siblings so I thought that I should throw this nifty little plot together for her. Plus there’s like nothing in District 9![/blockquote]
It’ll be super angsty with some wonderful artistic metaphors and similes, and lots of family bonding. Maybe even some mystery and danger with the eldest brother? I don’t know, I just want a family!!
This is NOT a first come first serve type plot, there is an application, so I will be selecting people, but please if your character doesn’t get selected, apply again!! The blurbs are only something to base the characters off of, seriously go wild with creation. Oh and they are azns, just so you know.

Jett Morrisey [18] [NPC- For now][/blockquote]
Jett is eighteen years old and has gone off in the world for the first time, once a master hunter, he refused to conform into the twist that the industry change had brought. After years of grades slipping, and being a general trouble maker, Jett was kicked out of the household to fend for himself. Wanted for murder, and god knows what else, it’s the mystery behind this brother that has the rest of the siblings worried and curious – what could their eldest brother possibly have done to have so many people after him? Tall, dark, and mysterious, Jett Morrisey has slowly become a creature of the street and lives more in his siblings memories than anything.
Raisa Morrisey [18] - played by South
Raisa and Jett were twins. They’re “twin powers” didn’t ever seem to really activate considering Raisa never really cared when Jett was hurt, and their opinions were on completely different levels. She still doesn’t care about him now. Once a talented huntress, Raisa gave up the bow once the industry changed, taking her string plucking skills and throwing it into the harp. Extremely laid back, Raisa is an artist at times, loving to paint wonderful creations, but her lack of any particular muse lately has left her desperate for any method of creativity she can find – despite the strict rules set by her parents. Raisa is not the smartest, nor the most skillful, yet she plays beautiful melodies and often creates wonderful murals.
Cecilia Morrisey [17] - played by Wonder
Cecilia was probably closest out of all the children to Jett. Only a year apart, this small fragile girl understood the pressure that was constantly being put on each and every one of them from their parents. Cecilia was never one for the hunt – though it was during her time, and she could have learned, Cecilia’s time was spent sitting behind a piano seat. Piano had always been her thing, no one else in the family ever really learned how to play. She’s quick and nimble, and shows such heroicness when behind her keys, but lacks to find any such confidence in her everyday life. The weak, silent type, Cecilia hides in the shadows and doesn’t understand why life – and people, can be so unfair. She does as she’s told and complies to the way her parents operate – though she doesn’t agree with it. Cecilia may be the only one to know where Jett is.
Izo Morrisey [15] - played by
Izo has always been a little bit weird. He felt a connection to his brother beyond any that he felt that his two eldest sisters did, however whether that’s the case of not is really a mystery. Jett’s leaving hit Izo hard, sending him into a spiraling depression. Having never been the strong one like Raisa and Sterling, Izo found any way possible to let his anger out, setting small fires, cutting himself. But it was all too dangerous and scary for the thirteen year old he was at the time. Izo got into numbing his senses, which was really bizarre. He would take ice and would wrap his fingers and wrists and ankles in them until he turned blue. It was hurt and burn and it was a pain he could endure, he was blue physically, and mentally. Izo is beyond intelligent – his IQ is probably the highest of his family, and all of his spare time is spent studying maths and sciences, however he holds a secret box in which he hides all his letters to Jett. One day he wishes to bestow them on his brother - but somehow he feels as though Jett may show up face down in the dirt.
Sterling Morrisey [14] - played by Zoe
Sterling is the strongest of the group, considering himself the man of the family. Izo was too weak and his father was an awful awful man. Bosy, and obedient, Sterling does whatever he’s told and likes to enforce rules and regulations on his siblings. He never wants to see another one of them booted out the door – they were too special to him to let go. Sterling long ago accepted the fact that Jett would never come back, and he no longer holds on to the same hopes that his brother does, nor his sisters. When Sterling isn’t ensuring everything is in place – he is watching the stars. After studying astrology, his love for the stars has only grown exponentially, he plans on one day plotting a graph of all the stars he can, and has come up with narratives for each constellation in his mind. These characters and stories have become a strong part of the boy he has become and they help him push through the sadness that envelops his siblings, they would become as strong as him.
Thalia Morrisey [12] – played by
Thalia is the smallest of the family, being only ten years old when Jett was forced to leave. She seldoms remembers very much about her older brother besides the fact that he was there. She imagines that perhaps he looks like an older Sterling, just taller and more lenient on the rules; he was kicked out for a reason. But the fact that she can’t picture her brother bugs her to no end, how could she possibly forget someone who’s been so relevant in her life? This obsession with being forgetting has completely taken over young Thalia’s life, how could she be forgotten so quickly someday like she forgot her brother? The bad habit of carving her name into things with a knife she keep hidden in her pocket has gotten her into trouble lately. Thalia’s same is spread across numerous places in the district, but it just isn’t enough. The twelve-year old is determined to be remember, and will stop at nothing to be known, despite the actions she might do, despite how dangerous they were, Thalia Morrisey would be known more than Jett and that was a promise.
