The night was winding down, the clubs calling out for "last call", but Dia was still riding the wave of booze and not in any mood just to let the night die. Her vision was blurry and her words slurred but she wasn't about to let that stop her. No not tonight. Dia was out for fun. Her sky high high heels seemed clunky and heavy against her stumbling movements to get out of the bar. She was drunklike always, but not so drunk that she couldn't function. Already turning down a few guys invitations to head home with them she staggered out into the open air. The night was cool and crisp, inviting her to dance in the streets.
Moonlight played down on the cobblestones beneath her feet as people spilled out around her. There were a few people she avoided, but most knew her by name. Even at 16 Dia was the life of the party, too young to know better and too smart too care. With giggles and waves she debated on her next choice, go home and pass out or try to find someone worth spending the night with. Her eyes traveled the pool of people, the blurry eyes focusing on the blonde hair in the back. How could she not have known Apex White was there, he thinks he is the so called prince of District One.
Flipping her hair and popping the cherry sucker she walked out with in her mouth she headed towards him. Hips swaying side to side causing the already too short pettiskirt to show more than enough skin under it. Her black fishnets didn't do much to give the extra cover she needed, but at this time of night who really cares. After the party it wasn't like she expected that much attention from him, he was pretty much the most self-centered jerk she knew. He didn't seem to care about anything but the Frat Pack and The Games, and after watching Jae lose a hand on the screens inside the bar Dia wasn't really up to talking about either. She just wanted a good time.
Getting closer to him she called out,"Apex, its too dark out for me to walk home alone. Would you mind." The words were slurred enough to know she'd been drinking but clear enough to pick up that she wasn't trashed. The sucker played on her lips teasingly as her eyes searched his. She knew exactly what she was doing, and unless Apex was as dense as some of his Frat Pack members he should know too. Popping it in she broke the gaze and reached for his hand.
