Anthem - Day 3

Miserable is one word to easily describe night in the Arena, with its muggy, thick air pressing down on you. That's not of your concern, though, for you know that soon the faces of the dead will be displayed above. Then, the music rings out in the Arena, and you bring yourself to look up through the dismal atmosphere. As you wait for the faces to appear in the forest sky, you wonder — who will join these faces tomorrow?

The melody finishes, and the seal is replaced by the faces of the dead:

You count on your fingers to tally up the dead, and the subtraction is simple enough that even your tired brain realizes that there are only fourteen tributes left in the arena including yourself. Thirteen more have to die if you're to make it home.

The music stops and the projection fades, throwing the Arena into darkness once more.
